Kalego's POV:

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. A primorial demon! Iruma was supposed to be a fallen angel or otherwise known as primioral demon. One of the strongest demons there is.

Looking at the kid in the bed I couldn't help but feel terrible.

If I only knew before that he didn't had any wings, then I wouldn't have thrown him off the cliff...

He somehow managed to survive that...

He managed to survive all the hardship...

Someone must have known that he is a primioral or they wouldn't have done this to his wings!

He was still unconscious and I saw how hurt he looked. He was clearly in pain but it wasn't that bad anymore. He at least didn't groan in pain. His back also stopped bleeding after he revealed the base of his wings.

Sullivan left me and Opera together in the room with Iruma. I hated being close to that person. He made my life quite difficult. However, I could see how worried Opera was too.

Me: He will be all right.

Or so I hoped. There was no guarantee if he would be fine or even get back on his feet again. Healing magic was useless after all. However, something had to be done and this was the only thing we could do for him. His magic was quite strong and refused every magic used on him. It acted up like a protective barrier which in this case wasn't good at all.

Opera: I know. When we found him, he looked far worse!

Me: What do you mean?

Opera: He had burns all over his body and he was out cold for a month. The first time he woke up he looked like a scared wild beast. All he remembered was his name and age.

Me: Where exactly did you find him and how?

Opera: We were on our way back from a meeting and that was when we saw something black on the ground.

Me: Black?

Opera: Black flames. He was covered in them. The flames were taking over the forest and Sullivan tried his best to extinguish them but he couldn't do it. They were even attacking us as if they were alive. Only after they sucked up a huge pile of our mana they began to shrunk and vanished leaving him on the ground.

Me: His magic?

Opera: Probably but we never saw him use any kind of magic besides the one performed in class.

Me: I see.

Opera: Take care of him!

Me: Hmpf!

There was absolutely no need for him to tell me that! It wasn't as if I planned on leaving the kids side either way. I felt drawn to him in a protective manner. It was definitely the familiar pact fault that I wanted to shield him and be a weapon in his hand.

As Opera told me about the way they found him, the door was busted open and Balam came in, ignoring everyone.

Balam: How is h-

The moment he saw him, he stopped in mid track. No one expected to encounter a primorial demon in their life after all. There was said to be only one and it was the first demon king and yet here was another one in front of us.

Balam: P-P-primorial Demon.... How?! He is a is a PRIMIORAL DEMON!!!

Me: ZIPP IT!

Balam: Sorry.

Opera: Yes, and you are prohibited to tell anyone about this.

Balam: Got it! So, how is he?

Me: Not good as you can see.

Balam: Is it my fault?

Opera: Your fault? You mean you dragging him there or him jumping out of a window because of a trigger?

Balam: First I didn't drag him there! I carried him gently and second, I didn't know he would do something like this.

Me: Think what would you do if someone accused you just like that.

Balam: Oh...

Me: Idiot!

Opera: You are lucky that he is okay or I would have skinned you.

I could hear Balam gulp. Everyone would if you knew Opera. He is one scary guy that you don't want to mess with at all.

Balam: I will be watching over him whenever I can!

Opera: Good. He needs it until his wings are back.

Iruma: Hm...

It was a small sound that made us all look at Iruma and it was clear to us that he was close to waking up.

Opera: No one mentions his wings!

Balam: Does he know what he is?

Opera: No.

Me: We should tell him.

Opera: Not now. What he needs now is to recover.

Me: This will only bite us back!

Balam: Don't be such a pessimist.

Me: I am only logically thinking.

Balam: So ahm... should I stay or should I leave?

Opera: Better leave.

Balam: Okay, I'll stay in front of the room and make sure that no one comes in.

Me and Opera nod at him and watched him exit the room before we both looked at Iruma again. It took him another 5 minutes to wake up and look at us.

Me: How are you feeling?

Iruma: Okayisch.

Opera: Are you hungry?

Iruma: No.

Opera: How about some hellgrey?

Iruma: No thank you.

Opera: Okay Iruma, what's wrong?

Iruma: I... I kinda feel sick but otherwise I am good. But thanks for the offer.

He looked so bright and the smile he was giving us as if nothing happened at all.

Me: Kid, you don't need to fake any emotions.

Iruma: Huh?

Opera: Kalego!!!

It sounded very threatening and I knew if I was about to go further and press on the matters that happened that Opera would pounce on me for sure.

Iruma: ....

I watched the kid carefully looking at his wings before his eyes went wide and looked at me.

Opera: It's okay, Sullivan gave you his approval.

Iruma: When did I-? How did I even end up here?
