"i've got so much shit to do," keeho complained, throwing his things onto the couch inside.
"like what?" you asked, curious.
the two of you had just made it home from kaisei and both equally exhausted. a lot had happened in the past couple of hours and truly the only thing you wanted to do was relax, but unfortunately you couldn't do that, not with everything on your mind.
"stuff for P6 and then send my monthly payment to my mom for this month, who knows if i even have the money," he responded, sighing.
"if you don't have the money you should let her know..."
"but she's relying on me, i have to give her cash, even if it means reaching into my savings."
"keeho... maybe it's time to-" you touched his hand in consideration.
"i know what you're going to say, it's not the right time yet, later." he interrupted, whipping his hand away from yours violently.
you were taken back by this sudden rejection of affection, stunned that he did that. you completely understood that he was upset, but all you were trying to do was help. you needed to give him space to think about what's going on, maybe that was it.
"im sorry... i-" he stuttered.
"it's... okay, don't worry about it." you respond, a shy smile, turning around while holding your hand, confused about why he did that.
the atmosphere was thick because of the confrontation that had just happened. you then heard footsteps towards you from behind and two arms snaked around your waist, his head dropping down to your shoulder.
"i really am sorry. i didn't mean to pull away like that, i was just upset and-"
"keeho it's fine, really. we all have our moments." you say, finally calming down.
"it's just when people bring up confronting my mom i get tense... i haven't seen her in so long." he replies, sitting on the couch.
"you don't talk when you give her money?"
"she sends me a text that says thank you and then disappears..."
your felt your facial expression change, from what it sounds like, keeho's mom is only using him for his money so she can keep herself afoot. you didn't want to assume, but that's exactly what it sounded like, and you could tell that it was messing him up. on top of worrying about P6, he has to give lots of money to his mom as well, even taking some out of his life savings to help someone as selfish as her. you could tell that he was stressed out, and you wanted to know how you could make him feel better.
"im sorry, you really don't deserve this." you speak up.
"it's okay. in all honesty i should be more worried about you. what is your mom gonna think?" he asks.
"i... have no idea. she would've already called me by now wondering where i've been,"
it did concern you a little bit, but the last thing you wanted to think about was your mom. you were back at keeho's place, eager to finish what you two started in the storage room, your face beginning to burn up. the house was empty, it was only the two of you, which made the situation even more convincing. but right now wasn't the right time, possibly later on in the night before you two went to sleep.
right as you closed that thought, you could feel your wrist be tugged and you fell straight onto his lap on the couch. out of no where and your heart pounded so loud, you thought he could hear it. you fixed your legs so that they were on either side of his body and you breathing hitched, he didn't speak, no words came from his mouth. you were confused, what was he planning on doing? as much as you wanted to know, he still didn't say a word, so you said his name out of reassurance.
