Some theories.

Hey! I'm putting a spoiler warning on this chapter because it does contain spoilers for Xiao's backstory, Zhongli's backstory, Albedo's backstory, Kaeya's backstory, Venti's backstory, and the Inazuma story quest, .

Also, this does technically contain some angst, so if you're not a big fan of it I would suggest skipping this Xiao's part.

-Before he was taken captive by an unknown god, my guy had a family.

-From Yanfei's story we know that the adepti aren't just spontaneously created, but they do have parents, and can have siblings. Which means that Xiao had parents and maybe even siblings, who he probably had to watch die.

-I personally believe the god who took Xiao is Osial, due to one of Xiao's lines where he states that he is very familiar with Osial's power.

-I think that the Archons spoke a different language than mortals do, and that this was the same language spoken in Khaen'riah.

-Before he met Guizhong, he never bother to learn the language the mortals spoke, and he could only speak very broken Khaen'rian.

-I don't think he can stay around people with a pryo vision for too long.

-Even if the vision wielder was calm like Diluc, the heat that their bodies radiate due to their vision makes him a little concerned that his yang energy might act up.

-HE SCARES ME SO MUCH I CAN'T

-His eyes are the only eyes without any life in them. Even Xiao's eyes, the Raiden Shougun's eyes (the puppet's), and Teppei's eyes WHILE HE WAS DYING had more life in them than childe's. A yakusha, a puppet, and a dying man all had more life in them than he did, and that bloody scary.

-Just as he hunts the abyss, he hunts fatui. 

-My guy is technically a serial killer.

-I believe that he is heterochromatic, but the eye he has covered is extremely sensitive. He does technically come from Khaen'riah, and that was a place that belonged to the stars.

-He cannot open it in day, even when its cloudy, its just way to bright, but because of this he can see stars that could not be seen by a normal person.

-EDIT. It's not a well known fact, but after some research on pirates they didn't all wear eye patches just because they injured their eye. Pirates often had to switch from being out on the bright deck to the dark cabins, and it took a while for their eyes to get adjusted, so they tended to just have one eye covered. WHEN I TELL YOU I HAVE NEVER CLICKED ON WATTPAD SO FAST TO ADD THIS LITTLE PART IN BECAUSE IT JUST FUELS MY THEORY I'M SO HAPPY

- I made the mistake of researching homunculi. (Albedo is described as one, created by Alice, and therefore he has to listen to her.)

- I believe he was created specifically to help raise klee, and when that was fulfilled, I think that Alice would want to see what he was capable of, and would use Mondstadt as the subject of that experiment. This is regardless of whether or not Albedo wishes to do so or not.

-Since he can change his form from a little wind sprite to a fully grown human being, I think he can also change his form into monsters, other people, and plants.

-The only way to tell if its him is if you look at the eyes.
