JONATHAN
We arrive in Vegas, the city of sin. Ironic, since I'm a sinner. I was born a sinner, and I will probably die one, so why not visit the city of sin.
Will and I check-in, we took separate rooms. I took the executive suite, and he took a regular room to set up our tactical gears. After checking into our room, we changed and went down to the casino to wait for our target. Two hours in, and the bastard still hasn't shown his face. We waited an hour before he showed up with his advisor, Ben. Will and I made eye contact. I wanted to make sure I heard every detail about this meeting and who he was meeting.
I made it over to their poker table. They both look at me but don't recognize me, which is a good thing. The last time I saw Pierce, I was 14 years old. We played for about an hour and a half when the elevator door dings; I look up, and my jaw nearly hits the floor. The whole room turns to look at the goddess that steps out of the elevator. She has an hourglass figure. Wearing a purple floor-length dress, the slit on her right side of her dress went up to her thigh. She was wearing red bottoms heels in black. The top part of her dress showed just enough cleavage and skin. Her rose gold necklace traveled the length of the opening until it disappeared into the dress, with a matching loop earring. Her dark black hair was styled into a bun with curly bangs. In her hand was a black clutch that matched her shoes.
Her makeup was simple and not cakey like most women here. She stood by the elevator door, confidence radiating off of her. It was all eyes on her. Every man wished to be by her side, including me and every woman wanted to either be her or with her. Some even envied her. Her eyes scanned the room until they landed on our table, then they landed on me. I visibly swallowed. I could've sworn that something flashed in her eyes, but just for a second, then it was gone before I could read into it.She walked up to our table, taking a seat beside me since it was the only vacant seat. She said, "Who's ready to lose some money?"
Her fragrance was intoxicating. It is tough to focus on the task at hand. Occasionally, her leg would brush up against my leg. Pierce hasn't stopped looking at her since she walked out of the elevator, and honestly can't say I blame him. She is a sight to behold. She glanced at him a few times before speaking. "What? Do I have something in my teeth?" She took out a mirror from her clutch; turning to me, she showed me her teeth before looking in the mirror.
I put my hand on top of hers, stopping her. We both nearly jumped at the electric current that passed through us as our skin made contact. Leaning into her ear, I whispered so only she can hear; I said, "I think he is just mesmerized by your enchanted beauty, as am I." From my vantage point, I can see her blush. It is a beautiful sight. In the corner of my eye, I can see Pierce visibly shocked at how close I am to her or how I just made her blush. She senses it too. She turns to me, and her plumped lips are dangerously close to mine. We were practically breathing in each other's oxygen, and I wanted more of her oxygen. The sudden need to be near her, to protect her becomes overwhelming. "How mesmerized are you about my enchanted beauty?" she asked.
Keeping my eyes locked on hers, I responded with, "you have no idea." We grinned at each other. Her eyes dropped to my lips, and I smiled wider. Pierce clears his throat; we both turn our heads towards the wretched man. He said, "are we gonna play or what?" Shrugging, I nodded my agreement. We played and drank for three hours before our mystery woman announced her departure. She won four times, and I won the last three games, leaving Pierce furious. I get up to get another drink and meet Will by the bar, "Pierce has taken an interest in our mystery woman, so I'm gonna follow her and try to get more information about her. We both know that when Pierce lays his hand on a woman, it's never a good thing. Stay here; I'll be right back." I gulped the last of my whiskey before heading towards the elevator. The door just closed on my mystery woman. To know what floor she's on, I watched as the number
increased every time the elevator passed a floor. She was heading for the executive floor. I pressed the button, confused. Pressing the button again and again, it finally opened. I entered and inserted my key card. There is one executive suite booked under my room, so why was she headed there? Finally arriving on the floor, I took long strides to my room. I put in the key card, and the door unlocked; I reached for my gun and slowly opened the door. Entering as quietly as I could, I cleared the living room and kitchen. I made my way into the bedroom and nothing, same for the bathroom. Next, I went into the closet. I don't remember leaving the light on in there. I pushed the door open with my shoulder.
Mystery woman kicked the gun out of my hand. She tried to punch me, and I easily blocked it. We fought until we fell to the ground. I fell on my gun. Reaching for it, I pointed it at her the same time she pointed her gun at me. Both panting, we stared at each other a moment too long. She put one hell of a fight. Silently we both stood to our feet, still aiming the gun at each other's head."What the Fuck are you doing here?" I asked through gritted. She didn't hesitate with her witty comeback, "to win money." Rolling my eyes, I asked a more specific question, "the fuck you doing in my room?" at that, she looked confused.
"You're in my motherfucking room," now it was my turn to look confused.
"Alright, let's put the gun down and talk like adults. I'm sure you know what that means, right?" she just squinted her eyes at me, "here we'll both put it down on three. Can you count to three?" I asked, knowing it'll backfire, and it did, "I can; I'm worried if you can cause you look and sound dumb as that question." damn, she's good.
"One," she said. I said the next number, and in unison, we both said "three," putting the gun down at the same time.
We stood there for a minute, awkwardly. She cleared her throat before saying, "I think we should go down to the front desk so they can sort this out." I agreed, and both made our way to the elevator "if they don't resolve this, we can just shoot them." I doubled back at her comment. She looks at me the said, "I'm just joking; I ain't that crazy." then, in a mere whisper, she said again, "not tonight at least" I shook my head and put my hands in my pants.
A few seconds later, we were at the front desk being told that the hotel is fully booked and that they won't have an opening until the 18th because of valentine's day. Who the fuck celebrates valentine's day in Vegas? Hell, who the fuck celebrate valentine's day at all. We head back up. In the elevator, the mystery woman starts giggling. I give her a puzzled look, but she's too busy containing her laugh to notice. "it's not funny, stop laughing." she turns to me, "yes, it is. "I don't know if the situation is actually funny or if her laugh is contagious, but soon I joined her laughing.
