5 days have passed.

room, and i've noticed the change

their eyes look less alive, they
move slower and talk
much softer.

whoever is up there, please do
not take me away from them.

they look over to the window-

it's a sunny day. it's like the
universe wants me gone.

"what did we do?" they asked.

i didn't know what to tell
them.

"we must've-we must have done
something to deserve this.
what is it that we did?"

"you did not do anything, y/n."

"no, no. we must have done
something. because fuck, this
is so cruel that the world is
just taking you away from me
like that!"

"i don't want to lose you! i
want to have a future with
you but we only have forty-
eight hours!"

i don't think they have fully realized
until this very moment, because
their eyes widen, and they stop
shouting.

there has got to be nothing more
painful than the dread in their eyes.
