Ying

The person who wanted to cover her past…

[Kindness alone won't help you survive in this crazy world. Not all patients are properly treated, and not all doctors have a benevolent heart.]

Ying was born in a middle-class family. Her childhood was a nightmare for her. Two things which she hated so much: instability for living and the bullies at the school time. 

When she was a child, she tried very hard to be kind to everyone. However, not everyone would accept that kindness. And because of her Asian look, she was bullied by some of the children. They called her a “weirdo”. They also tell her that no one will ever like her. 

Because of the violence which she had to suffer at school, her family and she used to move again and again. During that time, she had tasted the vicissitudes and displacements of life. She was tired of being on the move, looking for a place to truly call it “home” and longed for stability and security. 

She hated humanity, hated everyone who ever had bullied her. For then, her only wish at her birthday was to survive this miserable world. Gradually she became ambitious. She wanted to be respected by the people. So, she wanted to be a doctor, because she might win the respect of people by having this profession. 

In her middle school, she studied hard and a lot, just wanted to be accepted by a famous medical university. As a result of this, she was successfully admitted to her dream school.  

At that university, she studied surgery. There, she learned a lot about medical knowledge. She knew the anatomy of the human body very well too.

After graduating as MD, she found a job at a hospital quickly. She truly became a surgeon.

Things went just as she expected, people respected the profession. This is the first time in her entire life to notice someone will respect her. She felt satisfied during that time. She became known because her operations had been successful. However she became greedy because of her sudden success. She wanted more and more.

Unfortunately, things went wrong at once. One operation had failed…

That woman shouldn't have died…

She went to work as usual. However, a group of teenagers (thugs) blocked her path. They asked her whether she gave them money or she would be in trouble. She could beat one but not so much at once. Moreover, she didn't want to mess with those kids, so she gave some money to them. But, the teens were ungrateful and asked for more. This time, Ying turned them down. They were getting angry. As a result, they attacked her.

Ying wanted to run away and so did she. Nevertheless, these kids were throwing some stones at her. She was hit by those, and to make matters worse, she fell. In order to keep her running, she landed on her hands or she would have taken a nasty tumble. When she was almost near the hospital, they didn’t follow her anymore. She was safe for now. Unfortunately, because of that fall, her hands hurted.

However, she had surgery over about thirty minutes. She thought it was not a big deal of her hands. So she didn’t tell anyone about what happened. Waiting and resting in her room. The thirty minutes passed quickly by, it was sooner than usual. She had to be prepared for the surgery. But, she didn’t know the reason why she became nervous. Ying cleared her mind and went to the surgery room. 

At the surgery… 

Everything went wrong or even worthier than she had expected. The patient had a tumour in her stomach. So the goal of this surgery is to remove that thing. However, her hands were shaking hard and she could not concentrate, because of the pain. This caused her to negligently damage the spleen near the stomach. There's a lot of bleeding at the patient...

[Knowledge when the spleen was bleeding: as blood loss increases, patients may experience hemorrhagic shock symptoms such as irritability, thirst, palpitations, shortness of breath, pale skin, and cold limbs. A physical examination will reveal a progressive drop in blood pressure and a rapid, weak pulse. Pulse and blood pressure may be affected by post-traumatic stress and other organ injuries.]

Soon, the patient goes into hemorrhagic shock. The other doctors and she tried to use a ventilator to give her more oxygen, they also injected her with isotonic equilibrium salt solution and gave the patient blood transfusion then they tried to close the wound quickly. This part totally went wrong.

She didn't know why the bleeding was just more and more, even though they tried to close the wound.

Finally, the surgery failed. The patient could not be awakened anymore… This was the worst experience of her life. She could overcome it, but… This was all her fault.

She chose to leave the hospital for a while.

After a few months, something bad came after her. {what happened to her, I'll tell you later, because it will appear in the book.}

After that horrible event, she was running away from something, something that made her scared of it. She didn't know why these were coming at her. 

She should change her location after location, just as what happened in her childhood, which she hated. But this time, she didn't have a choice, she couldn't fix it…

Near the haven, she incidentally saw a leaflet. "The ship, F-1250, is a boat to an unknown island. Isn't it an adventure for you to experience this wonderful trip? "

An unknown island. Maybe this is the best place to get away from this mess and all her past stories. 

She bought a ticket and stepped into it. 

The horrible adventure will begin at this point.
