A loud explosion and flash of light emanate from the ships barreling towards the planet surface. "TALIO! It's Time!" Papeera jumps out of her bed, and leaps towards the door, pulling her armor out of the closet, and slipping into it with one swift movement. "Come on Talio! We have to go NOW! They are here!"
The young boy slowly opens his eyes, and rolls over to face Papeera. "Who's here? Can't I sleep in?" The look on Papeera's face showed pure fear, as he realised what she was saying. "OH GOD! THE SAIYAN INVASION!!!"
Talio and Papeera bolted from the room, as Talio's mother comes out of her room. "What's was that? Is that the Saiyans?" The look on Papeera's face said it all, as the boy's mother disappears back onto her room. "Hold on. I have something for you and Talio." She comes out of her room with a necklace and set of armor. "Talio. I want you to have this. It was your father's when he was one of the planet's protectors. I hope it can protect you as it did him. Papeera. He gave me this necklace when we got married, and he said it would always protect me from any dangers that would come to this planet. I pass it on to you, Hoping it will do the same. "
Talio grabs the set of armor, and lifts it over his head. As it settles on his shoulders, it shrinks to fit the young boy's body. Papeera kneels down and smiles at Talio. "Go on ahead, and gather everything we might need. I need to speak with your mother." Talio nods, and runs outside to gather the rest of the supplies.
Papeera's smile turns to worry, as she turns to the boy's mother. "We may not return from this. But rest assured. I will sacrifice myself if it means saving Talio. He has become like a brother to me. I promise, I will not let anything happen to him." As Papeera turns to leave, Talio's mother grabs her shoulder, and pulls her into a tight embrace.
"Please be careful. I lost his father 6 years ago. And ever since we found you, we've been so happy. You have become the daughter I never had, I can't stand to lose you too." Papeera gives a weak smile, and turns to leave. As her and Talio take off, and disappear into the sky, The door closes behind them.
As they fly towards the explosion, Papeera looks over to Talio, who seems distracted by what might be coming. "Talio! Stop Here!" Realizing she was talking to him, he snaps out of his trance and the two warriors stop within sight of the ships that have landed. "Are you ready? This is what we've been training for. There's no going back now."
Talio sees the ships ahead, and begins to panic. "One... Two, Three...Four, Five, Six... Seven. Papeera! I count 7 ships, but I feel two more coming towards us. They feel much more powerful!" The young fighters look up into the sky as a bright light and another explosion shakes the trees around them.
As the two ships come hurdling down to the surface of Asparaga, there seems to be something odd about one of the ships. Talio is the first to notice, and his curiosity triggered Papeera. "What do you see Talio? Is something wrong?"
The young boy turns to the second ship, and turns to Papeera. "Look! The first ship matches all these ships, but the other one... The other ship looks like the one you landed in!" Papeera hears this, and turns to look at the incoming vessels.
"This is impossible. It has Branson's Seal on it, and there was only 2 of those ships ever created. I took one of them and landed here, and the other one was in the secret base when we were attacked. Branson sacrificed himself so that I could live. But that energy...It feels so familiar." Papeera turns to Talio, as the ships approach. "Shh! The second ships seems to have spotted us. We need to land, and conceal ourselves. Lower your power level. "
As the two land in the forest, they lower their power levels, as the mysterious ship lands close to where they were hiding. Talio begins to move towards the location of the crash, when Papeera stops him. "Don't worry about me, Papeera. I'm smaller, and can scout out the area easier. "
He runs off, and Papeera feels the familiar energy again. It can't be Branson. He died after I left Planet Vegeta. I watched it happen. But Still... This feels like his energy. Papeera hurried to where Talio was hiding, and whispers i his ear. "Talio. Be careful. This energy feels familiar, but we still have to be cautious. Come on"
Talio and Papeera slowly move toward the smoking space pod, as the ship rings out. "Welcome to Planet Asparaga." The pod lets out a high pitch hiss, as the door slides open, and the mysterious figure emerges. Talio's jaw drops, as Papeera faints from pure shock. Talio guides Papeera to the ground, and moves over to the figure. "Dad? Is that really you?"
