RWBY Volume 2: It's Hard To Say Goodbye (Ruby Rose x Male OC)

CHAPTER 10: This gonna be interesting...

Lloyd's POV

Weiss: "Professor Oobleck?!"

Lloyd: "Oh wow, out of all the people the headmaster could have picked."

Oobleck: "Yes, I'm afraid those bags won't be necessary team, seeing as you've opted to shadow a Huntsman on what is now essentially a reconnaissance mission. I can assure you, we will not be establishing a single base of Operations: rather, we will be traveling several miles of hazardous wasteland and making camp in any defendable locations we may stumble upon. I packed all of our essential gear myself, plotted our air course, and readied the airship. And..."

Oobleck then suddenly appeared in front of Weiss and was a few inches away from her face.

Oobleck: "Its Doctor Oobleck. I didn't earn a Ph.D. for fun, thank you very much!"

Lloyd: "I'm pretty sure she gets what you mean Doctor."

Weiss: "Uhh."

Oobleck: "Come now children: according to my schedule, we are already three minutes behind... Schedule!"

Oobleck then suddenly rushed away towards the airship ahead of us, leaving a small dust trail.

Lloyd: "Well, I guess it wouldn't be too bad if we listen to him... But now I feel like I jinxed us when I said this would be easy..."

Blake: "Seems like you did."

Ruby: "Well, alright then! Looks like we're going to save the world with Doctor Oobleck- okay yeah when you say it out loud it sounds worse."

???: "Save the world?!"

We all turned around and see team JNPR walking towards us.

Nora: "You're going on world saving missions without us?! I'm hurt, sad! Maybe a little hungry? That last one's not your fault though, Ren!"

Lloyd: "Cool! Team JNPR is here!"

Jaune: "Anyway, where you guys going?"

Ruby: "Just outside the kingdom."

Nora: "Hey! So we are!"

Lloyd: "Nice!"

We then high five and Pyrrha started talking.

Pyrrha: "Ren and Nora wanted to shadow the sheriff of a nearby village."

Ren: "We set out tomorrow."

???: "Then you can party with us tonight!"

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Neptune and Sun joined in the conversation.

Neptune: "We're shadowing a crime specialist. All inner-city detective stuff. We got junior badges."

Lloyd: "Nice! They're giving a crook and his friend detective badge? Well, that makes sense."

Sun: "Hey, I'll have you know I've barely stolen anything for ages."

Lloyd: "I know, I was just kidding."

I turned to Neptune.

Lloyd: "How long does it take?"

Neptune: "About 2 hours."

Lloyd: "Thought so."

Sun: "ANYWAY! We normally go to the city with you guys, which means stuff's always exploding and junk, so we thought this might be a better way to check out a kingdom when it's you know... Normal?"

Lloyd: "Sounds like a good pla-"

Oobleck: "Four minutes team!"

Oobleck shouted to us from the airship and went back inside.
