Rosa Gomez was trying to move on from her past, but all her ghosts and constant nightmares made it impossible. Keeping her past a secret from the BAU proved difficult when the job came with sleeping away from home, as well as the team being highly skilled profilers.
Yet, Rosa never expected herself to open up to two people: first, there's Emily, who was there for Rosa when the night terrors came; secondly, there was then Spencer, who had a habit of knowing when something was wrong. Falling for Spencer felt so easy — so right — but Rosa believed he deserved better than her.
