SPARK

Prologue

The forest was burning with flames of every shade of color there was and the flames licked at her feet and danced around her body ever so smoothly. She smiled. It was beautiful. She breathed in the scent of the burning leaves and smiled. There was a sense of rightness to this and as the forest slowly burned down, she stood there, watching; laughing at the destruction of it all. She heard a scream in the distance, it seemed like it was coming closer. She recognized the voice and was snapped out of her trance. That was Ashylenn, her best friend, she heard another scream in the other direction, it was her mother's voice. All at once more voices started coming from all around her: her sister's, Oni, her friends', everyone was screaming with such dread and horror and it only seemed to be getting closer.

"No! No! NOOO!!!", she tried to say. She wanted to cover her ears and run away from this place but her body wasn't responding. It just stayed where it was and watched, as the forest burned.

"Make it STOP!!! MAKE IT GO AWAY!!!", she tried to scream as loud as she could, but her body wouldn't listen. She could only stare into the depth of the forest. Her legs finally gave away from under her and she collapsed in a sobbing pile at the ground. She closed her eyes, not wanting to see any longer the destruction surrounding her. When she opened them again, she gasped in horror at what lay ahead of her. The forest was gone, replaced by miles and miles of shrieking corpses crawled across the ground, all heading toward her. They seemed to have been burned by the fire and what made them even more petrifying was that most of them were people she knew.

She looked down at her hands to see that it was her that had made the fire and the one that was burning them. It was terrible but yet she felt enjoyment in doing this. She held her head between her hands and tried her best to push the feeling away, but she couldn't help smiling at all she had done to her loved ones. She felt her world start to fade, and right before it did warm arms lifted her off the ground.

So I hoped you liked this so far. Sorry it's short, the other chapters will probably be short too but hopefully I can update every 2-3 weeks? Yeah, I'm a dum dum.

Aura is on hold because I didn't like my plan for the story so now I'm redoing some stuff and working on it but ummmmm.............
