Chapter 10 ✧ thinking bout her

"Hey! where are you going..I-"

Nightblack attempted to say,but then confusion and exitement rolled over them and they stood in the street blushing hard and still trying to get what just happened.

Did she fall for me,or did she just wanted to say thank you..am i just overthinking that..but again..this feeling I got when I saw her cornered..to protect her..even if it costs my life..what is this all..

Their instincts told them,they should leave the small side street where they killed the foxes,because if they stood around there any longer they would be caught.

So they followed the main road again and got lost in their thoughts again.

Shes just a random stranger..you will never see her again..dont catch feelings for her, you will just end up getting hurt..you should concentrate on finding a place to stay and on not getting caught..

After they had continued to walk for a few hours, Nightblack realised,that it was already the middle of the night. They needed to find a place to sleep.

They didnt find any empty looking houses and after their experience they had made in the other house, their werent in the mood to go into an abandoned looking house ever again.

They found a little,dimly lit square with a bench between two houses and desided to spend the night there. They fell onto the bench and was asleep immediatly,because of everything that had happened that day.

They were woken up,by somebody barking out of the window. They got so scared that they jumped up and started running immediatly,after grabbing their bag in a hurry.

Their were still pretty tired,confused,overwhelmed and their wounds ached as they walked through the main street.

They hadnt been walking for a long time,when they reached the end of this long road,once again.Suddently the path they were walking on, turned into a old contrete road,that was covered in cracks.After a while they reached a small village with poor looking houses. It didnt take long for them to cross the entire village.

They ended up standing next to the shore of a big lake,that the city was next to.

Nightblack got lost in their thoughts,while they looked out onto the lake,when they suddently got a wierd feeling

I dont know what that is,but its like something is telling me,to walk along the shore of the lake to the right,or something bad is gonna happen..probably im just overthinking..but what if something is really wrong..

Nightblack desided to trust their gut feeling and walk along the shoreline till they reached a small,abandoned harbor.

When they walked around an old fishing boat,they froze.

Behind the boat and close to an old shed they saw Anny.

but she wasnt alone.

A fox and a maned wolf were blocking her path. Nightblack knew them immediatly from their scent.

That were the people,that had caught them while they got food out of the old bank building.

They were both aggressivly growling,but hadnt noticed them yet,not untill Nightblack approached Anny.

Nightblack walked to her side and put an arm around her.

"Are they giving you problems? Dont worry, i'll take care of them for you" they whispered into Annys ear.
