CH1-Think before you Speak

He walked into class and said a simple "Hi" to me I replied with a "Hi" back, as soon as he walked off  I let go of a breath I didn't know I was holding. Even his voice was perfect, not up until last month I didn't realise I had a crush on the boy, Demario Clark. He barely even knew me, we only spoke together during group projects but I pray that we get into the same group every time. It really sucks to crush on straight boys but my heart doesn't give a dam who's straight or not. The teacher suddenly started talking which brought me out of my thoughts.  I didn't even notice when she got in the classroom or how much time had passed. I quickly took out my notebook and started jotting down science notes. Of course, I could barely concentrate because of my earlier thoughts but I tried to get as many notes as I can. I somehow managed to keep up in class this time. Yes. this time. It's not the first time this has happened. I mean who could blame me? He's JUST RIGHT THERE so close but I'm too shy to even step foot in his friend circle. The school bell rang and I got up after collecting my thoughts That was our last class for the day and I was tired but I made it to my music club. I ran into my best friend Javyon and I went on my usual rant on how we should do modern-day music instead of all this classic stuff. After music club Javyon and I went over to our usual waiting spot for my mom, we were neighbours so my mom and his dad would alternate in picking us up. After a good 30 minutes of us watching TikTok's Javyon started complaining, "Bro when the hell is she  coming I'm starving and broke." "Fine, fine, I'll buy you food from the canteen," I said. "Thank you so much, man, I swear I'll pay you back." He replied. "Yeah, sure just like how you paid me back my  $10 from last month, bro I'm going to start putting interest on the shit you owe me," I said. "Please give me a second chance, I swear on my own grave that I'll pay you back soon." "I'm gonna be the one making that grave if I don't get my money." "Yes sir," he replied and I made my way to the canteen. When I reached the line for the canteen Demario was just one person in front of me and I literally had a mini-panic attack. His friend was beside him and they were talking and I somehow overheard him say, "If I don't get a tutor for music my grades are going to go so dam low," said Demario. You know how they say you should think before you speak? Yeah, I didn't because my dumbass blurted out "I can help with music." He waited for me to finish buying the snack from the canteen and we ended up exchanging numbers. After he left Javyon came up to me and said " You took way too long bro your mom is already here." "You will not just believe what happened," I said to him. "What?" he replied.
