Livia looked over her desk to take a peek at her best friend. Ava was busy taking down notes for math class. 'How is she so concentrated ' Livia thought as she pondered the last question on her paper. She knew all the others were wrong but it didn't matter, Math wasn't exactly her best point. Then she turned to Luke Creed, his brown hair fell over his face as he scribbled down some utter nonsense that didn't even look like numbers. Next to him was Drake Alinsky, her twin brother, she wondered how they even looked similar, she had blonde hair and blue eyes, but Drake had black hair and green eyes (Luke had green eyes too, they may as well have been twins instead) yet people managed to tell they were siblings.

Ava was almost the opposite of them all, she had dyed her hair purple and her eyes were grey. That's what Livia loved about her. She was so confident with herself, last year when they had gone on a camping trip, Shyla (The "popular" girl) had almost pushed Livia into the lake, but Ava didn't even stutter while telling her off.

Livia was so lost in her thoughts she didn't realize that the bell was ringing to let them out of hell. "Hellooooooooo," Said a high pitched, sort of annoyed voice "Are you coming to eat lunch or are you just going to sit here and stare at Luke?" Livia flushed red "I- I, how did you k-know" Ava smirked "I'm your best friend, I know everything you do eheh" Livia glared at her. "Whatever, let's just go for lunch."

'I'll say it now, even if it's in my head, blanched tomatoes and smoked corn does NOT taste good' Livia poked around her food and opened her mouth to say something but froze at the sight of Ava devouring the cafeteria food like it was something created by Gordon Ramsey, "You have got to be kidding me," Ava looked up from her half finished corn "Mmf?" she swallowed her food "What's wrong, you look like you've seen a ghost" "I might as well have," said Livia "How are you eating this disgusting excuse of food?!" Ava just grinned "Well, I may or may not have carried some salt, pepper and lemon with me for the sake of my taste buds!"

Livia didn't even need to ask, Ava just handed her the small packets of heaven! "Thank you" Livia said satisfied, "No problem Livi" Ava returned to devouring her food like an animal.

School ended and the two girls nearly missed the bus "Damn it!" Said Livia, sitting down on a chair that was tattered from the years of use. "Damn it indeed," replied Ava seating herself next to Livia, "Well, its not all that bad! Luke is right behind you" Livia groaned and could just see Ava laughing.

A few minutes passed by, and finally Luke decided to speak to them, his friend had just gotten of the bus to his side of the dorms -The dormitory system was different from other schools, it was two rented buildings far away from the school which they were dropped to by bus- "Hi Ava, Livia!" Luke said leaning against the back of their seats. The two girls turned around and Livia had to take deep breaths to stop herself from hyperventilating, Luke didn't seem notice though.

"Hello dear sir!" Said Ava "Nice to see you decided to talk to us." Luke frowned "Well you didn't talk to me either." "Fair point" Ava picked up an orange she had got from lunch and threw it at Luke "Ow!" Luke took the same Orange and threw it at Ava. And this is how an orange fight was invented! "Could you guys stop," said Livia trying to control herself from laughing at their serious expressions while throwing an orange at each other, they both turned to Livia.

"Sorry, but I couldn't help myself," Ava said now glaring at Luke. Livia managed to smile though. The bus stopped at their "dorm area" and the three got off. "It's really a sad thing Drake isn't in the same building" Said Luke putting his hands over the girls shoulders, "I don't mind at all," Livia murmured under her breath. "I heard that" Said Luke, Ava did an evil laugh and Livia backed away from them both "She's a devil I tell you!" Luke nodded his head in agreement, Livia then changed her mind "Actually you both are." Luke looked at her with the most innocent face he could manage "How a-" "Don't even try," Livia interrupted "Man," Said Ava "What a wholesome friendship!"
