I'm so sorry about this but I'm afraid I won't be finishing this,,,
Yeah, I don't really have that much to say but sorry.. I'm just really stuck. I've written this in a way I don't know how to continue, you know? It's been a cycle of writing something and scrapping it. Doing that for a month wasn't really cool :(
I have ideas on how the rest of the story plays out. I'll put them down below, because I kind of don't want to leave this without you guys knowing how it ends.
Again, I'm really sorry. But thank you for sticking around though! Happy reading.

George's POV. He and Dream are hanging out by The Lonely Tree again.
It's revealed that he'd been holding back his feelings to keep him from possibly obtaining nirvana. IF their theory was correct anyway.
He still wants to stay in the living world, where Dream and Sapnap are. When he opens up about this to Dream, Dream admits with hesitance that he doesn't want George to leave either, but he has to.
An argument ensues.
They end up realizing that getting together (romantically) wasn't what George needed to move on from the living world.

Sapnap's POV. He visits George's apartment while George and Dream are out and cleans it up out of habit. Lots of thinking.
He reminisces to when Dream vented to him when George had disappeared. About how much he himself wants to leave the living world. Seven years of being tied down to earth when he was meant to be in the afterlife had been taking quite a painful toll on him, apparently.
"I'm afraid that if George keeps forcing himself to stay with us," Dream's voice echoes in Sapnap's head, "he might go insane."
While Dream's afraid of that, Sapnap's afraid Dream might be speaking from experience.
After a while, he thinks back to all the times the three of them have hung out in the past few months. Thinking about what might help George.
Then it clicks: George doesn't want anything. He just wants to stay with him and Dream.
It was stupidly obvious, and George has expressed it time and time again. How could they have been so blind?
But then Sapnap realizes that George has to let go of them in order for him to move on from the living world.
When Dream and George arrive, Sapnap explains how George can obtain nirvana. George does not like this. He argues that he doesn't want to leave them at all and that he sees no point in doing so. Dream and Sapnap try to reason with him, but he won't take it.
The chapter ends with George walking away and disappearing.

It's been days, almost a week since George has come back. Quite frankly, he didn't want to speak to his friends.
So he's been in the void with the other Dream. He does wake up in the living world from time to time, but he avoids his friends until he wakes back up in the void.
Other Dream tells George that what he was doing wasn't good for him. George, stubborn as ever, refuses to listen.
Other Dream finally forces George to stay put and listen to him for once.
Dream explains that George clearly still wants to be with them again, seeing as he's been reappearing there even when he claims not wanting to talk to them.
"My point is, you don't belong in two worlds at once."
George was quiet. He couldn't quip back because he knew Dream was right.
But were Sapnap and Dream really worth letting go?
A gentle hand on his shoulder startled him out of his daze, and he was met with golden eyes.
"Hey," Dream wore a warm smile. "It's all gonna work out in the end. Trust me."
And with one last look at Dream's eyes of pure gold, he nodded.
And with a blink of an eye, he was back in the living world.

(Tw - kind of like suicide?????)
When George wakes, it's storming. In weather like this, he knew exactly where to go.
He finds Dream standing in the middle of the bus stop and Sapnap speaking to him desperately.
When George comes closer, he realizes that Dream wants to end his suffering once and for all by taking out his core.
Sapnap and George try to reason with Dream until they eventually understood that this was probably for the best.
After a couple of goodbyes, they take out Dream's core and he collapses. Sapnap and George stand in the heavy rain in silence.
"Well?" Sapnap side-eyed George with a faint, sad smile. "Go, then."
"What?"
"Go after him."
"Dream just left, you want me to leave you too?"
"I'll be fine, George."
"Both of us know that's a lie."
The loud pattering of rain takes over the tense atmosphere.
"Yeah," Sapnap looks up at the sky, and it was only then George noticed tears coming cascading down his friend's face. "But maybe... Maybe things will get better at some point."
"You're just accepting it?" George's shoulders sag.
"Yeah. And you should too. It's nature and shit," the raven-haired man shrugged. "We can't mess with this kind of stuff. Sure, I'll probably be hurt for a while, but that doesn't mean I'll never get better."
George's eyes began to well with tears, tightly engulfing the other man in a hug. "I'm so sorry for leaving you all these years," George whispered.
When Sapnap hugged back, George decided that that was enough as a response.
They both pull away, sadly staring at one another for a moment.
"Bye George," and Sapnap began to walk away, not looking back once.
George raised a hand even though the other man couldn't see it, and breathed out "bye."
He takes a look around for the last time.
How ironic it was that this had all happened at the bus stop.
George closed his eyes.

22 (Epilogue)
George wakes up in the void. In the distance is Dream.
It felt strange for both of them. Dream no longer felt like he was in two places at once, and George could remember his past clearly.
They talk, making sure if the other was okay and how they felt.
Hugs, and finally an official kith :flushed: (LOOK IVE NEVER WRITTEN A KISS SCENE BEFORE)
Ye this is rlly short,, but this is all I have in mind for it. If i did write it, I would've added onto it. Probably.
Welp.. That's Gentle Sprinkling. This was actually a friend's dare. I only meant for it to be a really long, open-ended oneshot but I ended up doing t h i s.
I'll honestly miss workin on this. This was really fun to write, and I enjoyed reading yalls comments.
I can't thank you enough for staying. Again, I'm so, so sorry. I'll see you guys around. :D
