6 months later..

"When you said vacation, I really didn't know this is what you had in mind!!" Jane exclaimed as she trekked up the mountain panting behind Edmond.

He laughed. "Oh come on! We've almost reached the top of the mountain. The sunset will look beautiful from up there."

"What's wrong with the sunset we get to see from down below??" She panted.

He scowled at her. "Stop being such a wet blanket or I'll carry you!"

She laughed. "You carry me, we both fall!"

He laughed. "Good. You understand my threat perfectly then."

She stuck her tongue out at him which caused him to grin.

"Come on, Jane. The scene from the top is worth it I promise." He said as he offered her his hand. She scowled at him but took it and he pulled her closer, wrapping his arm around her waist. "Do it for me." He whispered in her ear letting his lips linger really close to her cheek.

"Don't do that!" She complained.

"Do what?" He whispered again making sure that he stayed just as close as before and that she felt his breath on her cheek.

She gulped. 6months. She had been around him for 6 months and he still had the same effect on her!

"You can't always do that when you want me to do something!!" She shut her eyes and complained.

"Do what?" He laughed before he brushed her cheek with his finger.

She closed her eyes. "Fine." She bit out.

He laughed and had the full intension of replying with a cheeky 'thank you' but for some inexplicable reason when he opened his mouth, the words that came out were, "I love you!"

She instantly opened her eyes and stared at him stunned. "Say what now?"

He frowned as he realised what he said. "Huh" he replied thoughtfully. "I guess it's true." He shrugged.

She smiled toothily. "Aww."

"And here I thought that in this moment you were at my mercy." He smiled thoughtfully.

"Oh look how the 'turn-tables' ! " She laughed.

He pouted. "Now don't make me wait. Just say it back so we can get on with this trip!"

She laughed heartily. "No no. You can't force these things." She teased.

"Ja-ane!!" He whined as they neared the top of the mountain.

She laughed knowing too well that he probably knew that she loved him but he needed her to say the words to make it official.

"I love you, Edmond!" She replied happily in a sing song voice as though she were a kid wishing her teacher 'good morning'.

He smiled, turned to face her at the top of the mountain as he lifted her in his arms and they shared a blissful kiss.

"OMG! I can't believe I got to witness this!" Someone in the background exclaimed.

Jane and Edmond ignored it assuming that she was referring to the sunset.

Then they heard a 'click' but they were still too engrossed in their kiss.
