Allison Thompson was just your average twenty-three year old woman, she lived alone and she got on with her day which mostly consisted with work. Her social life was pretty much non-existence as well as her love life, it's not like she didn't have any in fact she had quite a few close friends but even she couldn't deny that she is a workaholic but thats because the work load seemed to be never ending.
She would come home from lunch to find one or more stacks of files that she would have to go through before the end of the day.
It was Friday evening and Allison was just about to grab her things and head off, this was the one night her friends were actually able to convince her to meet them for drinks. Allison had just finished closing a deal with some big hotel chain in America and she wanted to let off some steam, but just as she put on her coat and about to grab her bag she stopped when the office phone rang.
Letting out a sigh as she picked up the phone and answered, "Hello?" she quickly shoved the files she wanted to go through this weekend so she wouldn't have a million things to do first thing Monday morning. "Mr Brown wants you up in his office in the next few minutes" Ciara, the new young assistant to the boss himself said before hanging up not giving Allison the chance to say anything back.
Feeling a little annoyed since she was on her way out and had already stayed a couple hours extra like she always does, she still had a couple of hours to get home, change and head out with her girls. Allison grabbed her bag, turning off the lights to her office and closing the door as she made her way upstairs and the sound of her heels making the only noise in the office.
It took less than two minutes to make her way upstairs and to his office, there was two offices up here but only one was used, the other now used as a meeting room instead for the last ten years.
"His waiting for you" Ciara said before going back to her computer screen in front of her, Allison only nodded her head in return as she walked up to the door, lifting her hand to knock. "Come in" she heard before she opened the door, closing it behind her but the first thing she noticed was that he wasn't at his desk but standing looking out of his office at the city below him. There was a glass of something that looked like alcohol in his hands as he lifted the glass to his lips and drank some.
"You wanted to see me" she said softly watching as he turned round to face her. Although Allison has worked for the Miller-Brown chain for three years she had only seen this man a handful of times and this would be the first time that he wanted to see her, let alone speak to her.
David Miller-Brown turned a small smile on his face as he looked at the woman in front of him, he had never spoken to her but couldn't help but stare at her the times he would see her somewhere in the building. "I just wanted to congratulate you on closing the deal today. I know it's been tense in the office for months and with the departure of Steven you took it upon yourself to overwork yourself and I am grateful but have also taken it upon myself for you to have some well deserved time off" he said offering her a drink which she declined.
Allison was shocked thinking no one knew how she just took on the extra work no questions asked, "Sir, you don't-" she was cut off as he took a few steps and was suddenly in front of her, "Please call me David" she looked even more attractive when she was standing right here in front of him.
"I think thats really unnecessary, I don't need the time off" she said already shaking her head at the thought of having any time off which left David feeling a little confused, she was definitely different to other women.
David couldn't help but smile, liking the fact that she was different. "Most people would be thrilled with having some time off work. I can ensure you that it will not affect any of your future holiday...think of it as a gift" he shrugged as if it wasn't a big deal.
"David I can not accept this offer, I still have much work to do" she tried to tell him but it looked like he wasn't listening.
David took another step towards her and it was like there was no space between the two of them, she couldn't help but gasp at how close her boss was to her. "What are you doing?" she whispered when he leaned down his lips slightly brushing against hers.
"You're so beautiful" he whispered wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her close, the gasp leaving her mouth as he claimed her lips with his own. Allison was lost in the moment as she kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck as she loved the feel of his lips on hers, she wanted more though but she also knew they should stop as soon as his hands went underneath her top his hands wrapping around her bare waist.
"We need to stop" she said finally being able to push him away from her.
"I'm sorry Mr Brown but that should have happened" she gasped trying to control her breathing. Allison couldn't believe she would do something like that, she knew he was married had been for the past seven years.
"I'm not going to apologise Miss Thompson, I've wanted to kiss you for a long time" he whispered taking a step forward once again as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "You're married" she whispered back, "How could you kiss me as if its nothing knowing you go home to your wife every night" she said grabbing hold of her bag and turning round to exit his office.
"I think I will take that holiday after all" she said before closing the door behind her, it meant being away from him for the next couple of weeks and she would try and forget any of this happened and she wouldn't speak a word to anyone about what had just happened because secretly she wanted to do it again.
Luckily Allison was able to get her mind off the man who kissed her with such passion, she was drunk and enjoying herself as she danced with her friends Michaela was already missing probably making out with some guy somewhere whilst her and Brooke danced the night away. It was when a pair of muscular arms wrapped around her and pulled her to a chest that she turned round still dancing, these arms felt safe to be in and when she looked up she couldn't believe it.
"Are you following me now?" she slurred but she couldn't help herself as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
He leaned down his lips brushing against her own before making there way to her ear as she whispered, "As much as I love having you in my arms and seeing you dance I'm here with some friends" he smirked as she rolled her eyes and tried to remove his arms from around her waist.
"You're are married" she said repeating what she had said earlier in his office.
He shrugged as if that didn't affect him, "Is it really a marriage when your wife is in love with someone else and I would very much be with someone else" he said and he couldn't help himself as he claimed her lips with his own, not once stopping until they had to come up for air.
"Why did you stop?" she asked breathlessly her arms still wrapped around his neck ready to be kissed again, this was so unlike her to be wanting a man she knew she couldn't have, especially her boss.
David couldn't help but smile the woman in front of him, at work she was completely different confident with her work but shy with herself but now her she stood wrapped in his eyes being the confident woman he knew she was. "I thought me being married meant nothing was ever going to happen" he whispered leaning down so she could hear him with the loud music playing.
"You said so yourself, she is in love with another man" she whispered before leaning up and kissing him again. That night ended in more than just kisses, she loved the feel of his body on hers and she would think about the consequences tomorrow as well with dealing with her hangover.
