[CRAIG POV]

[FLASHBACK || TWO YEARS AGO]

Fright Night [8pm]:

Craig had never been a word of many words, and for most people, he didn't seem to be a man of many emotions. Even though he wasn't verbal unless he deemed it necessary, he wasn't emotionless, especially when it came to his boyfriend of three years Tweek. He never really said much as listened to Tweek ramble on about his random theories about how he was sure Cartmans' weird dream was him actually being abducted by aliens, how there were these weird anti-christ worshipping wood critters, and oh, how his underwear kept disappearing because of the gnomes.

And through all of those times, Craig never said much besides a few comments to poke holes into Tweeks' theories. The blonde would glare at him for a moment before Craig would mutter that Tweek could be right as he ran a finger up and down Tweeks' arm, enjoying feeling him shiver under Craigs' touch. Tweeks' face would soften, and he would lean down to kiss Craig before they argued about what movie to watch, or played Call of Duty together with their friends.

Besides Craig figured that this strange conspiracy theorizing was just a phase of Tweeks' and eventually Tweek would grow out of it. He didn't expect to get worse, with Tweek struggling from nightmares every time he fell asleep.

He didn't expect Tweek to start spouting nonsense about a cult, a portal opening, and the end of the fucking world.

"Tweek I didn't mean to upset you!" Craig exclaimed as he held his hands out defensively. Tonight's usual routine of video games and movies were interrupted by a concerning ramble of Tweek. Tweeks' barely looked like he should be alive, with pale skin and dark circles under his eye, his entire body shaking either from anger, anxiety or the amount of coffee he consumed to stay awake. Of course Craig considered suggesting to Tweek that they talk to a counselor or someone, to get help.

"You didn't think I would be upset at you suggesting I should be- be -be locked up!" Tweek exclaimed, pointing an accusatory finger at Craig, while his other hand was in his hair pulling it. Craig reached over to grab Tweeks' wrist, only to be met with a hard shove from the blonde boy, causing him to stumble back into the wall.

"I wasn't suggesting you be locked up, Jesus Christ Tweek! It's just, you keep talking about aliens, gnomes, and now the end of the fucking world, and I can't take it! It's too much!" Immediately upon seeing Tweek's entire face drop, Criag knew he had said the wrong thing.

"Get out." Tweek mumbled, looking down at the floor.

"Tweek I didn't mean that-"

Tweek raised his head up and glared at Craig. "Get out Craig!"

"No Tweek! Let me help you-"

"Get out!" Tweek screamed as he clenched his hands into a fist. Craig hadn't seen Tweak that angry at him since Cartman and his bastard friends staged a fight between Tweek and Craig. Craig wanted to plead with Tweek, but he realized there was no point. It was fine, he would come to his senses.

"Fine, I'll get out so you can come to some damn sense!" Craig yelled, wincing at his own angry tone before he stormed out of Tweek's room. As he headed towards the front door, he heard Tweek yell and slam the door. Craig hated walking out like this, but maybe if he gave Tweek some space, he would understand Craig was just trying to help him.

Monday Morning [7:45 am]:

Craig still hadn't heard from Tweek by the time Monday rolled around and Craig could feel the regret of walking out building up. What if Tweek's delusion only got worse? What if Tweek hurt himself? What if he hurt someone else by mistake trying to stop this conspiracy of his? Criag pulled out his phone as he walked over to the bus stop. Tweek still hadn't replied to any of his texts. He could have at least let Craig know he was okay, fucking hell. Craig groaned as he put his phone in his pocket. Maybe Tweek was okay, and he was just pissed at Craig. Craig could at least handle that.

By the time Craig got into school, he was anxious though to everyone else he just looked pissed off. The only thing that brought him relief was the sight of Tweek at his locker when Craig did finally make it to school. Craig tried to think of what to say as he made his way to Tweek's locker. He hated how tight his throat felt, and that they were even at this point.

"Tweek" Craig said as he leaned against the locker next to Tweek. Tweek jumped slightly, though he didn't relax like he normally did, his grip was tight on the locker door. Before Tweek could speak, or worse, walk away, Craig spoke, "Tweek, you're not too much for me." Craig grabbed Tweeks arm and pulled him closer as he moved towards Tweek, until their bodies were only a few inches away. Tweek hugged his books, as if they were a shield from Craig.

Craig kept Tweek there, looking into Tweek's green eyes. "Tweek, you're not too much, and I'm sorry I said you were." Craig wasn't good at this, at apologizing, at being romantic. But he didn't want to lose Tweek, not like this, not over this. "And whatever is going on, we can figure this out. I don't want you to be locked up, I'm just scared, but I can handle whatever is going on with you."

Tweek looked down at the floor for a moment, closing his eyes as if to block Craig out before he shook his head. "Ma-maybe Craig, you're not enough for me."

"What?" Craig felt as if he'd been slapped across the face.

Tweek finally opened his eyes, though even as he lifted his head, he refused to look into Craig's eyes. "You still don't believe me." He shook his head, "You've never taken me seriously."

"Tweek that's not true and you know it."

"Don't tell me what's true!" Tweek moved his arms to break Craig's hold on him, and took a step back. Craig could feel that tightening in his throat again. "You ke-ke-keep telling me that nothing I'm saying is real! And I can't take it!" Well excuse Craig for trying to be fucking logical.

"Tweek, please let me fix this, I can fix this." Craig hated how he could hear some of the desperation enter his voice.

"You can't fix me and you ca-can't fix us."

"So that's it?" Craig demanded, throwing his hands up. "You're breaking up with me for trying to help you?" He couldn't believe this.

Tweek turned away from Craig and went to close his locker. "I'm sorry Craig." He muttered something under his breath that Craig couldn't hear and walked away. And just like that, they ended. Years of friendship and relationship down the drain over fucking what? Him not believing a conspiracy theory? None of this made sense, yet maybe that had been their fate all along. To be broken up over some crazy theory of Tweeks' that Craig finally stopped ignoring.

Craig whipped around to punch the locker, half yelling when his fist made contact with the metal. Fuck, that shit hurt.

"Craig, my office now!" Due to the success of him running South Park Elementary, PC Principal had been transferred to South Park High. And now he was currently getting on Craig's nerves as he yelled from across the hall.

"Go fuck yourself!" Craig yelled at the principal, flipping the asshole off before walking away. As he did, he could hear PC Principal yelling about two weeks detention, Cartman laughing his ass off, Token calling out for Craig, and people whispering. But he could care less. Let the fucking principal suspend him for breaking his hand on their shitty lockers.

Normally when he was like this, Tweek would run up to him and just hold his hand, or just sit next to Craig. He'd sit in silence with Craig, maybe run his hand through Craigs' hair as he hummed a mellowing song.

But this time, he was alone as he walked out of the school, snow falling from the sky like his tears that fell down his cheek.
