11. 'Just a Friend...'

Tubbo's POV:

I wake up laying on my bed opening my eyes slowly adjusting to the light. As I sit up, I start to look around me with my eyesight still blurry. As I finally could see what was around me clearly, I checked if Y/N was still next to me. She wasn't. I groaned and stood up to get out of bed and walk out. When I leave my room, I hear both my sisters giggling, laughing, and whispering about something that made me curious. I knocked on the door in curiosity and see Teagan opening it. As soon as she opens it, I hear straight silence from that room. "What's up?" She asked. "Oh, nothing really. I was just wondering if anyone else is in your room with you?" I say moving my head to see if anyone is in there but Teagan blocking my way. "Shit..." She says under her breath. "What? Is there something going on?" I ask again. "No, and uhh, no. Is that all?" She speaks. "Erm... do you know where Y/N is? I needa tell her something important." I hear a gasp in her room. "Uh- s-orry, I gotta- go," Teagan mumbles quickly. "Wait! I just-" She cuts me off by slamming the door on my face. "Great," I say under my breathe and leave.

Teagan's POV:

"IS IT TRUE? IS IT TRUE?" Lani repeats in excitement. "I guess... but I don't really know." Y/n giggles in embarrassment. "Yay! So, it is true! I told you, Teagan! Give me my money!" Lani laughs. "Fine," I roll my eyes and give Lani £5 we've bet on. "Why do you like Tubbo? What do you find so interesting about him?" I smirk pausing at the 'interesting' part. "I- STOP ASKING ME QUESTIONS!" Y/n says flustered and embarrassed burying her face in her knees. "I was only kidding!" I laugh. "oKaY, tUbBo JuNiOr." Lani rolls her eyes. "Oh, shut up, Lani. You're younger than him!" I speak in annoyance. "Whatever." She rolls her eyes a second time which triggered me to watch her.

I hear knocking on my door. "Shh! Be quiet!" I whisper loudly. They start laughing quietly. "SHH! I'm being serious! It could be Tubbo!" I repeated. Then they went dead silent knowing it could be Toby hearing us talk about him.

I open my door and see Tubbo trying to look over my shoulder. "What's up?" I ask trying to not seem suspicious. "Oh, nothing really. I was just wondering if anyone else is in your room with you? Toby asks knowing there are others are in my room. "Shit..." I mumble under my breath. He tries looking over my shoulder again, but I kept blocking him. "What? Is there something going on?" He asks me. "No, and uhh, no. Is that all?" I speak. "Erm... do you know where Y/N is? I needa tell her something important." Toby asks which caused me to stutter. Then I hear Lani gasp in excitement thinking he's going to confess his non-existent feelings for Y/N. "Uh- s-orry, I gotta- go," I say quickly. "WAIT! I JUST-" Then I cut him off by slamming the door on his face. Oh, God how bad I felt. I facepalmed myself. "Couldn't you just keep your mouth shut for once?" I groan. "Sorry! I just thou-" "You thought that the important thing that Toby had to say to Y/N was confess his non-existent feeling for her, right?" I look up. "Yes! But~ his feelings for her do exist." Lani smirks at Y/N. "Stop. You guys are gonna make me pass out from this conversation." She mumbles with her face in her hands. "Oh, well!" Lani pauses and stares at me for a good 20 seconds. "BET YOU 50 POUNDS TOBY LIKES Y/N!" She yells. "KEEP YOUR FREAKING VOICE DOWN, YOU IDIOT!" I whisper loudly. "And no! Bet you £100 THAT SHE DOESN'T"! "WELL, £100 IT IS!" She whispers loudly back at me. "You guys realize that Tommy has been standing here for like 5 minutes listening to this conversation?" Y/N laughs turning her head to face Tommy. Mine and Lani's heads shot towards Tommy, and he starts smirking evilly. "Wait, no- Tommy. Don't you dare." Y/N snared at him. He starts backing up to the door and slowly turns the door handle. "Tommy! I'M BEING DEAD SERIOUS!" Y/N shouts. She starts chasing after him right after he runs out of the room and Lani and I start running from behind. "TUBBOOO!!! TOBYY! Y/N LIK-" Y/n jumped straight on Tommy's back and pushed him to the floor and starts to suffocate him with a cushion from the couch. "SHUT THE FUCK UP TOMMY!" Y/N yells at him. "OKAY, OKAY!" He yells through the pillow. I start laughing my head off as my brother starts walking into the living room. "Y/N what?" He asks. Y/N glares at Tommy straight in his eyes. "HAHA. WHAT? DID I SAY SOMETHING? HOW FUNNY. CAUSE I DIDN'T. YOU MUST BE rEaLlY dEaF tUbBo! I'm tOtAlLy FiNe." Tom started whining and using sarcasm hoping that Tubbo would notice he's signaling for help. "Lol. I know you're using sarcasm to signal you want me to need help. Karma." Toby laughs leaving the room. Lani falls over from laughing so hard from the scene and I start laughing from her falling over. Y/N shot Tommy a dirty look while he's forcing a smile to get out of trouble. "Nice try." She says jumping on Tom's back again to make him fall on the ground again. She starts tackling him meanwhile me and Lani here are still laughing. When Y/N stopped attacking Tommy we started hearing cries from him.

Tubbo's POV:

I heard the noise from the living room starting to fade and didn't care so I didn't bother to check. Then it started to get too quiet so then I started to get worried and left my room to check on Tommy. There he was. Laying on the floor curled up with bruises on his face whining and crying for his mum. "You good?" I asked between laughs. "No! Your stupid girlfriend started attacking me for no reason!" He whined. I went bright red from the fact he called Y/N my girlfriend. "Oh- well. Sorry about her then..." I said not denying Tommy saying she was my 'girlfriend'. "Tell her to stop or I'm going to tell you that she likes you..." He said rubbing his left eye while standing up. "She likes me?" I said going as red as a tomato. "WHAT? NO, SHE DOESN'T. I SAID NOTHING!" Tommy yelled and ran out the front door far away till I couldn't see him.

She likes me...? No. She possibly couldn't. It's too obvious that she sees me as a friend only. Yeah. A friend only... I thought. It broke my heart thinking she only sees me as a friend. I walk into her guest room not bothering to knock and I see her on her bed sketching me. I walk up to her and bend down to see the drawing. "You're a really good drawer," I said. She flinched and closed her book. "Um, thanks." She smiles looking into my eyes. "Was that me?" I ask. "Uh... yeah. Sorry." Y/n sighs. "Don't be! You're a really good drawer. You're very talented too. Lani also showed me some of your songs too! Wanna write one together?" I ask nervously overthinking she would say no. "Really?" Her eyes sparkled. I nod. "Of course!" I sigh in relief. "Okay. Wanna stream and say to chat that we'll be publishing a new song together as an ft.?" I say standing up from her bed. "Sure. I don't mind." She smiles. We both leave the room and stream with Lani also for about 2 hours. We ended the stream and started working on our new song. "Thanks... Um, you're a really good friend." She giggles. Friend... friend. I wish I was more than just a 'friend'... My heart ached after that sentence was spoken. "Yeah, it's no problem," I say forcing a smile.
