I woke up to the sound of soft humming and the faint song along with flipping smooth pages. I roll over and squint at the person sitting on the hammock next to my bed.
I sat up as I noticed it was sadie. Without her noticing I slowly got out of bed and kneeled infront of her, my chin resting on her knee. With that she finally noticed and removed her earphones. "Sorry, for waking you up, Baby. " Sadie apologized, caressing you cheek with her free hand as she set down the book.
I smiled and leaned against her touch. "It's not your fault, babe. What are you doing reading a book this late?" I glance at the clock. It reading 2:36AM.
"
Oh, I couldn't sleep. I didn't want to wake you up." I nodded and stood up, taking her hand in mine, and pulling her in for a hug. She immediately tucked her head into the crook of my neck and sighed. "I love you." I smiled as her warmth spread through my body quickly, "I love you more, sades."
I pulled away from the hug and ushered her to our balcony. There layed a blanket and pillows. We both layed down on our backs and she looked at me. "What are we doing?" She asked. "When I can't sleep, I go out here and look at the stars. Do you know why i like looking at stars?" I looked back at her as she shook her head. "Because they remind me of you. your freckles."
"It's about this thing I've read in a book about how all humans are made of stardust, but I've always had this question in my head, are all people made with the same amount of stardust? but that can't be. Maybe some people have more stardust than others, like their own galaxy but it shows on their skin, hence freckles."
Sadie smiled and lifted herself up with her elbow, laying on her side.
"I never thought about it that way.
I used to think that i had too much freckles that my family. So i just thought that they were ugly and annoying." I frowned as I heard that.
"To me, they're not ugly and annoying. they're beautiful. you, Sadie Sink are beautiful. I'll always be here to tell you that."𝟯𝟵𝟬 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀
