The Nightmare

Chapter 1: Worrying

Hi! Everyone this is my first fanfic I know it might not be that great but as I write more the better I'll become I don't know how many chapters this story will be but I hope you enjoy reading it...now on to the story!

Gohan was getting worried the Cell Games were in two days and his dad was telling him to rest and to not worry about it. That only made him more worried did his dad know something the rest of them didn't?
"Hey Gohan" Goku says coming into his son's room. "Hi Dad" Gohan says less cheery than normal which Goku noticed "Son what's wrong?" Gohan turned his back to his father to look out the window and sighed "Nothing" he lied. Goku walks over to in front of his son "Gohan you know I don't tolerate lying" his father said sternly. Gohan winced he knew his father hated when people didn't tell the truth "It's nothing dad, nothing is wrong" Gohan said trying to keep the anger out of his voice. The young saiyan then stops looking out the window and goes flops down on his bed and sighs Goku sits next to his son wondering why Gohan is acting this way.
"Dad.." Gohan began but stopped feeling embarrassed and not wanting to make eye contact. The tears were starting to fall Gohan didn't want his dad to see him cry he didn't want him to think he was a cry baby or that he was weak. The older saiyan pulls his son onto his lap Gohan burys his face in his daddy's chest as he cries harder. "Gohan please look at me" Goku said wanting eye contact the young boy shake his head and burys it further into the dad's chest. Goku puts his hand under the the boy's chin and lifts it so there eye to eye "Son why are you so upset?" He asks while gentley rubbing Gohan's back trying to calm the boy down. "D-Daddy are we s-s-strong enough to beat Cell?" Asked Gohan "Gohan I told you..." Goku paused moving a piece of hair out of the boy's face "...we're all ready for this we trained like crazy. "But dad Cell is so strong....what if we can't beat him...what if ..if you die daddy...I can't lose you again daddy!! Gohan crys out. Goku hugs him tight while rocking back an forth for a few minutes then he pushes Gohan's bangs up and kisses his forehead.
"Son I promise nothing is going to happen to me or anyone else... You trust Daddy don't you?" Goku asks. Gohan looks up to look his dad in the eyes and nods "...promise?" The boy whispers the older saiyan smiles "Cross my heart" he says Gohan smiles as his dad wipes away his tears. Goku craddles his little boy in his arms while he gently runs his hand through his son's black hair. He felt the boy snuggle into his chest then sleeply say "...I love u...Daddy" then seconds later he heard small snores " I love u son". He quitly and carefully stands up making sure not to wake the boy and lays him down on his bed and covers him up with a blue blanket. He watches his son sleep for a few minutes longer "Gohan your the only one who can beat Cell your even stronger then me son...I couldn't be more proud of you Gohan."
