I woke up in the middle of the night, gasping for air.
My head was spinning in all directions, and my hands were drenched with sweat. I couldn't believe I was still alive! Patting down my body, I made sure all of me was still there. That thing was going to eat me, atleast that's what I thought it did already. Luckily for me, it was a dream -no scratch that- a nightmare.
Lying back down, I was once again sound asleep.
I didn't sleep for long. Something woke me up. This time I just got up very fast minus the spinning head and sweaty hands adding the difference in a temperature.
It was cold, freezing cold. How and why did it get cold so fast?
Getting out of the bed, I cut on the lights. Making sure the coast was clear, I went over to the shelf and grabbed a blanket. After cutting back of the lights, I climbed back into bed.
It felt like something was watching me, the atmosphere was very uncomfortable.
Attempting to sleep again, that wasn't going to work. I heard a ruffle sound in the corner by the closet. Looking in the direction, I couldn't see nothing cause of the fact I was in the dark. The ruffling sound got closer and closer. It sounded like it was coming my way. But all of a sudden, it stopped.
Since it was dark and I couldn't see anything, I knew one thing I could see. Movement. So that's what I looked for. But again. I saw absolutely nothing.
I stayed up for a while before lying back down but I got right back up. The pillow was wet. I knew I wasn't sweating that heavy and I wasn't gone for long.
What was happening to me? This wasn't a dream no more. Was I imagining things? No, this was reality.
I was putting the pillow on the ground when I saw a shadow run past me, It was huge! A growl came from the left side of me and without thinking; I threw the pillow in the direction. But that wasn't a good idea. Whatever I hit, it growled in pain.
It wasn't long before it came back, with a harder force that knocked me out unconscious.
I screamed in pain as my legs were being chewed off inch by inch. Blood was everywhere and my mom was crying, she kept trying to come by me but the dog was telling her not to. Wait why was the dog talking?
The pain wasn't there no more but I sat there confused until somebody's voice woke me up.
"GET UP", the voice was deep, like inhumanly deep. That's when I realized I was dreaming. Again.
I opened my eyes to meet a pair of yellow glowing ones staring right back at me. His face was huge and in a triangular form. The sight was too much; it made me pee on the spot.
"What are you", I asked barely above a whisper. Scared for my life.
