As of Today, Mei pops her earbud into her ear before scrolling down to her phone to play the music she desired to listen today.

She sang along to the song that played in a small voice as she readjusts her hold on the wrapped zheng that she carried in her arm.

A text popped up from her screen, taking her attention. A message from her colleague informing her on which song to play in the traditional string-instrument concert they would partake in for the entire day.

Mei replied back to her colleague, as she stepped forward into the street, confidently sure that the traffic lights were green.

With her attention focused on her phone, she was unable to see the large bus speeding towards her. The bus honked loudly, but the music in her ears blocked away the warning noise.

Just as the bus inches closer to her, it was only then Mei noticed the bus. With wide eyes, she could only look at the large vechile close in on her.

But as if everything slowed down, Mei felt a cool surface coil around her body. The young woman caught a glimpse of a large white snake-like creature that coiled itself around her.

As if time returned, Mei found herself yanked away from the streets, and pushed down to the sidewalk. That glimpse of a large white snake-like creature was only a hallucination or a trick of her mind.

"WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!" The driver from the bus yells through the open window.

Mei shakily looked at the bus as it continued to roll down away further into the street.

"Are you okay?" A voice asks her.

Mei regains her focus, as she now meets her saviour's face. He was a tall, handsome man that stared down at her. His odd, yet beautifully long, petal pink hair was kept in a low ponytail by an old, worn-out, blue ribbon.

"Y-yes, I am. Thank you. A lot..." Mei manages to say through her shock.

"You need to look at where you're going." The handsome man gently scolds her.

"Yeah, I really should. I'm so sorry." Mei apologizes before sticking her hand out for him to shake. "I'm Mei Ran. Nice to meet you." She greets.

The man takes her hand and gently shakes it with a small smile in his face.
"I'm Nei-Yo—" The man stopped himself before shaking his head, "Sorry, I meant Na Young." He corrects.
"Nice to meet you again, Mei."
