Chapter 18

Baekhyun was happy. Very happy. Because he was greatly accepted by Chanyeol's parents. It wasn't expected and thinking of it made him laugh. It was absurd how he was so nervous and quiet, so unusual of him.

Chanyeol was also very happy. He could now breathe comfortably. He felt like jumping for joy. That's how happy he was. His happiness is overflowing. That's how the derp feels when he is happy.

Right now, they were both walking in the park, hand in hand. Happiness obviously plastered in each faces. "I'm so happy," Chanyeol blurted out. He just can't contain himself.

"Well, not too much sweetie," Baekhyun remarked.

"Did you just call me 'sweetie'?" Chanyeol asked as he faced Baekhyun.

Baekhyun just shrugged. That word just came out of his mouth involuntarily and he's starting to think that he got it from his mom.

"You did. I heard you called me 'sweetie'," Chanyeol said happily.

"Then why did you ask, if you did?" Baekhyun rolled his eyes.

Chanyeol just chuckled, "Just making sure."

Silence.

For a while it was silent. It was just them being silent but it felt like the world was, too.

"I love you." Chanyeol said and hugged Baekhyun.

Baekhyun hugged back. He didn't care if there was a lot of people around them, looking at them, judging them. All he cared about is that Chanyeol loves him and he loves him too. "I love you, too Chanyeol."

This is just one of the times, when it was just them together. Happy and carefree. Just them together, without the world bothering them. They didn't care about the critics, the judgements. It all didn't matter because it was just them.

Baekhyun can't help but to pace back and forth in his room. He was nervous because he already decided to introduce Chanyeol to his parents. And Chanyeol didn't know that because he didn't want the latter to add up to the nervousness. He wanted Chanyeol to be just the happy-go-lucky guy he was when he faces his parents.

He hoped it would turn out the way Chanyeol's parents accepted him. But he knew it couldn't be. Chanyeol's parents and his are both different. Their reputation is very important in their family. Baekhyun's family is the owner of a very famous company and he will soon be the heir of it. Wrong things done are things that should be left. He didn't want that for Chanyeol. Although, for him, Chanyeol was the best and right thing that happened to him... it wasn't like that for others.

He sighed. He really need to calm down.

"Darling! Chanyeol's here! Oh my gosh, he's here!" Her mom shouted downstairs.

Baekhyun groaned. His mom is more excited than him. Well... he was not excited anyway, he was very nervous. He went downstairs and immediately pulled Chanyeol to his room. He locked the door and faced him.

"Whoa, chill. What happened?" Chanyeol asked as they entered.

"I'm already going to introduce you to my parents," Baekhyun said in a serious face.

"What. No." Chanyeol said in an almost whisper voice, "You can't be serious."

Baekhyun rolled his eyes at how Chanyeol could say that when he was dead serious.

A knock on the door dispersed the silence they haven't noticed was already lingering in the air. "Hey darling, don't be selfish. Give me your boyfriend. I still have to talk to him, ya know?"

"Did she just say.. boyfriend?" Baekhyun softly said.

"No, I guess n-not?" Chanyeol stuttered out.

Someone suddenly barged in the room. "Hey. I'm waiting sweetie?" Her mother said grinning widely.

"Waiting for what, mom?" Baekhyun almost stuttered. He was nervous. He didn't know what to do. He didn't know if his mom was joking. Or what was she thinking.

"I'm waiting for you to introduce him," her mother answered while looking at Chanyeol, "As your boyfriend. Now come on!"

"Huh?" Baekhyun was confused and so was Chanyeol. She knew? How come?

"You're not going to introduce him?" His mom demanded.

"Ahhh... where's dad?" Baekhyun was planning he should tell them about it together. But he guess his mom already knew and what he didn't get was, why the hell would he introduce Chanyeol to her when she already knew? It makes no sense.

"I'm here! Tada!" His dad suddenly came out of the blue.

"Why are you here?" Baekhyun felt like his head was going to pop out. What 's wrong with this family?

"You asked for me, right?" His dad answered, "Well... here I am."

Baekhyun prevented the urge to groan and Chanyeol was preventing his laughters. It was funny how his parents was really like teenagers. They were very funny. Maybe that's where Baekhyun got his attitude from. Chanyeol thought.

Baekhyun's parents suddenly glared at him, like telling him: We're waiting here.

Baekhyun gulped. "Uhmm.. so.. this is Chan-," he didn't continue what he's saying when his mom cut, "Oh yes! I know right! They were together! Oh my God!" Her mom squealed and hugged Chanyeol. Baekhyun mentally slapped himself. What a nice introduction. But at least it turned out well. Well.. not like how he expected how he would introduce Chanyeol. But at least, this was better.
