She opened her eyes, this time feeling like her normal self.
She was still in the same horribly clean room that hurt her eyes because it was so white.
Her eyes swept the room as she got up. This time she wasn't in restraints.
A small chuckle left her lips as she saw a figure clad in black, sprawled on a chair next to her bed, mouth wide open , with one leg on the chair, sleeping soundly.
She was about to gently wake James up when she saw the blue piece of what appeared to be a strange bandage on her arm.
Curious, she touched it.
To her shock and surprise ,she saw that she could see her wound clearly, as the bandage had turned transparent.
A light green ointment was spread around 16 thin deep holes ,placed in a circular pattern, covering the inside of her arm.
She vaguely remembered the incidents of yesterday, and as she held on harder to the bandage subconsciously, she let out a rather loud cry of pain.
James shot out of his chair, falling to a heap on the floor before quickly standing up in a defensive position, bloodshot eyes darting wildly around the room.
"What?! What happened?" He asked.
"Oh, it's nothing" she said, trying to get up.
She pushed herself into a sitting position." Right." James said, sitting back into his chair.
"Well, you sleep too much. " He said.
"Excuse me?"
"What should you be excused for?" He asked, an amused expression on his face.
"Nothing." she said, exasperated at his behavior.
"Oh come on, I was just joking. I was actually waiting for you to wake up so that we could go to the testing station or the labs as we call them."
"Wait. Why do I have to go there?" She asked, a hint of fear in her voice.
"Well, don't you want to know what you are?"
She just looked at him with an indifferent expression on her face.
"Right. That's what I thought." he said. "Come on. Up and into your wheel chair .You're not allowed to walk long distances. It'll be waiting outside."
She nodded and tried to get up.To her horror she found that she couldn't move her legs.
"Come on. Hurry. We don't have much time." Said James.
"I can't move my legs. " she said.
He sighed and said," Don't worry it's just a side effect of the medicine. Hopefully it'll go away."
"Hopefully? "She asked horrified.
"I guess I'll have to carry you to your wheel chair now huh?
Fine. Let's just get this over with."Before she could even process what was happening, he had put both of his arms under her, one on her back and the other under her paralyzed legs, and had lifted her off her bed, careful not to disturb the blue bandage that was on her am.
He walked out of the door, which slid itself open as he walked to it, scanning both their retinas and registering information, locking itself automatically as it noticed that there was no one occupying the cell.
She then saw James's jaw drop open as he saw the twins riding off on Kiera's automated wheelchair, Damien sitting on it and Damon shouting ,speeding past on his hover board,"Too late idiots! You'll have to walk now!", hifiving each other as they sped through the grey halls.
