"So you're moving?" Izuku asked for perhaps the hundred-and-twenty-seventh time. "Like, move-to-a-different-house moving?"
Shoto gave a curt nod. "Yeah. In March."
For four months, his father had wanted to move them to a less suburban house in the city of Musutafu.
He had told Izuku during recess in school. Everything except his father wanting to separate them in case Shoto got distracted from his training. Knowing Izuku, he'd want to do something about it and they'd just end up in trouble.
Snow had fallen on pretty much every surface and the temperature had dropped quite a bit, so all his classmates and teachers were wearing their warm coats and boots.
"Huh." Izuku paused, kicking up some snow on the ground. "Do you think it's going to be fun?"
Out of all the things Shoto expected his friend to say, this was on the bottom of the list. "I...no. It's going to be the absolute worst."
"At least there won't be Himewa-Sensei," Izuku said, trying as always to look on the bright side. She was their teacher and phenomenally strict for one.
"Mhm."
"Is that all you've got to say? Maybe you'd get to see All Might, I heard he lives in Musutafu." Izuku exclaimed.
Shoto replied with a small "Yeah", which sort of killed the conversation.
"Todoroki, look!" Izuku nodded towards several icicles hanging from the roof of the school building.
"They're icicles," Shoto said, perplexed.
"I know, but they look a tad bit like a waterfall!" his friend explained.
Now that Izuku had pointed it out, Shoto could see the resemblance (although quite small).
"Huh. Never looked at it that way."
A few moments later, a boy with blond hair, accompanied by Tsubasa, a boy with red dragon-like wings, whose quirk had already manifested.
"Hey, Todoroki! Wanna do jump rope? 'Cuz we need three people for it," Katsuki Bakugo said.
"Uh, no thanks. Midoriya, do you want to go?" Shoto asked nervously.
Izuku looked half-pleased, half-incredulous. "Yeah, sure!"
The bicolor saw the green-haired boy chasing the blond and winged boy, who were far ahead of the former. He was surprised felt a bit lonely watching them playing together, taking turns with the bright orange toy, but Shoto was never good with playing those kinds of games anyway. He'd just drag everyone's fun.
The bell rang a few minutes later and everyone lined up to go back to class.
Shoto noticed that Bakugo was arguing with Izuku again. Tsubasa stood behind Bakugo.
"If you just hadn't gotten tangled, we could've played a few more minutes!" the blond said scornfully. "I don't see why that Todoroki thinks it's fun to hang around with you, do you, Tsu?"
Tsubasa shook his head, whether to please his friend or it actually was his opinion.
"I-It's not my fault I got tangled. You guys w-were going too fast, and I asked you to stop, Kacchan!" Izuku said, stuttering.
"Just shut up, Deku!"
Fearing that they would get in a fight, Shoto found himself stepping in.
"Bakugo, it's just jump rope. Do you actually have to fight about it?"
"Yeah, Todoroki! Time doesn't grow on trees, you know, so if Deku wastes time, he shouldn't play! You hear that, Deku?" Bakugo shot at them.
Shoto was taken aback by this outburst. Izuku muttered something like "don't worry about it". Fortunately, Himewa-Sensei was now telling them to go to the classroom right now or else.
"I'm sorry I got you into this," Shoto whispered to his friend once they were in the classroom.
Izuku shook his head. "It wasn't your fault."

A/N: Guys, my Grammarly blew up on this one, so if there is anything wrong, please tell me (I don't have premium lol). This is turning out to be like a collection of one-shots more than anything else, but I'll try to make it more like a 'whole' story... Yeah, I know Bakugo's name for Tsubasa sounds like Tsuyu Asui's, but we'll just pretend it didn't happen. Any recommendations, please tell me!
Have a good day/night!
