As they walked in Rory was still scared but took convert in knowing in almost full confidence that he really cared about her, and that made her smile.
"a table for two"
Tristan said to the ihop hostess
"Ok follow me please"
She led the couple to a booth, Rory scooted in to the far side of the booth Tristan scooted next to her, he bumped her shoulder and quickly said,
"Oh sorry"
"it's ok"
Rory said leaning into him, as the waitress auproched.
"Hello my name is Sara and I will bo taking care of you today could I start you off with some drinks"
"Two coffees please"
As the waitress walked away Tristan turned to Rory and apologized
"Sorry I assumed that you wanted a cof-"
"thank you Tristan"
"oh ya anytime"
"I want to go with you"
"oh ya ok we can go"
He says as he being to gather his stuff
"no to the concert"
"Thank you Rory"
"oh ya anytime"
She said teasing him. They had a relatives quiet meal. Once the impromptu too meal was over, Rory reached for the check.
"If you think I'm letting you pay you must have gone mad"
Tristan said as he was speaking he placed a 100 dollar bill on top of the check, and he began to get up reaching for Rory's hand, and she grabbed his offer.
He escorted her to his car and asked.
"any other stops?"
Tristan gazed at the beauty in the front seat, she shook her head no and they were off to Stars Hollow. As they were driving thro the town Tristan took in the scenery.
"you live in an amazing town Rory"
"Thank you Tristan"
He smiled at Rory and she melted, she thought how could this day get any better she thought to her self. As they pulled into her driveway Rory was half expecting a very upset Lorelai, but what they drove in to was going to be so much worse. There was someone on her porch she thought it could be Luke fixing something but as got closer Rory saw him it was Dean. Rory looked at Tristan and he asked.
"where you expecting someone"
He sounded betrayed.
"no Tristan we broke up I don't want him here"
Rory was afraid that Tristan wouldn't believe her.
"Ok so what do you want me to do? I could beat him up or run him over with my car"
Rory swiftly cut him off
"will you take me to my mom?"
"Yes, but are you sure I mean one punch couldn't hurt"
"Tristan promise me you won't come at him?"
Rory asked as they back out of the driveway.
"I don't think that will be necessary"
He said as Dean approached Rory's side of the car
"i don't want to talk to him, please Tristan just drive away"
"as you wish"
Tristan said as he increased the speed of his convertible. Right before they pulled into a spot in the inn parking lot Tristan turned to Rory and stated.
"If I was your psycho ex boyfriend this is the first place I would look are you sure you want to be here right know?"
Rory thought about what Tristan had said for a second then said.
"Your Right, so are you ready to meet my grandparents?"
He smiled and chuckled as he made a u'y in the parking lot.
When they arrived in heartford Rory looked to Tristan and said.
"why are you doing this for me?"
She asked absolutely puzzled.
"Well first it's the right thing to do, and second it doesn't heart that i may be racking up some brownie points"
They both laughed after his statement, then they pulled up to a red light and Rory said.
"Well thank you"
Rory said as they pulled up to Richard and Emily's house. When they got to the door Rory little knocked, and the maid of the week came to answer it.
"Hello, are we expecting you?"
"no mam I am hear for Emily, I'm her granddaughter"
"ah yes Rory is it?"
"yes is she in?"
"'oh yes please do come in"
As the two walked in the maid took there cotes and went to grab Emily.
"Tristan, you don't have to be here"
Rory said almost whispering.
"meh my nonexistent after school plans can wait"
He said with a chuckle.
