Life Got A Bit Brighter

That Day

waking up to your alarm clock it beeps but then it stops, which makes you think that takao stabbed it

"takao did you...," you stop yourself as you see takao hand on the alarm clock and not her katana piercing it "oh hehehe," 

this puts takao in a sour mood and she hits you in the head and leaves the bedroom leaving you and a sleeping atago.

"well an extra hour of sleep wouldn't hurt," you hug atago and go back to sleep 

"mama mama what is that in the closet?" a younger you asking your mom 

"well sweet pea that's mommy's old guitar from a long time ago," mom explained 

"can I have it?" you ask this makes mom smile 

"you can have when you're 18 and you practice guitar a lot," mom explained 

this the summer you are 18 and leaving for college and mom is with you at the airport to drop you off

"give mom one more hug," mom's arms are stretched out and you embrace her one last time 

"I'm going to miss you mom," you said leaving for the terminal but mom stops you 

"oh you silly boy you forgot this," mom pulls out of the car a guitar case 

"it you're now sweet pea and a sign that  I'm always with you, if you get lonely you can hug it like those pillows in your room," mom yells and everyone looks at

"mom," you yell embarrassed 

mom wanted to help you set up your dorm, but dad wouldn't let her maybe she still be alive if i had the courage to bring her with me ITS YOUR FAULT 

you snap straight up and your breathing hard and this startled atago 

"darling what's wrong?" atago asks she hugs you in her blossom to calm you down. after a couple of minutes, you are more relaxed 

"atago if you had to save takao, didn't because you didn't have courage wouldn't blame yourself," you asked atago 

"i would because takao is my sister, why are asking me this," atago was confused where this question 

"its been five years since mom my mom was murdered by my dad and today marks the fifth year," you asked in a monotone voice "this day is when i feel i don't deserve anything that has to happen to me," 

"darling i know you still linger on the fact of what if, but the reality is she gone, but he may be dead but her soul still lives on and you need to find," atago whispered to you 

atago held on to you and you hugged her desperately not wanting to let go of her 

"my sweet pea I'm always with you," mom's voice said 

"atago i promise you I'll get out of this  mess of self-pity I'm in," you said 

"fufufu i know you will," atago coed 

"this afternoon lets go visit mom," you said 

"i bet your mom wants to see her daughters-in-law," atago said 

"i think mom would've  been happy to see that I'm married, but probably tell me polygamy is illegal and scold me," 

"fufufufu I'm glad I fell in love with you," atago whispered into your ear 

going into the kitchen takao was making breakfast and she made two plates of pancakes one for her and the other for atago 

"takao where is my plate?" you ask because you were hungry
