Sebastian's P.O.V

"Baby, how do you feel?" I asked holding my fragile boyfriend as close as I could as if he would disappear if he would let go. "ok," Kurt simply said.

"do you want me to get you anything?" I asked "a glass of water would be nice," replied. I smiled a little and kissed his head before going out to get him his glass of water.

when I got out of the bedroom and into the kitchen, I leaned against the counter, just needing to take a breath, "Hey, how is he?" Carole asked coming into the kitchen from the living room, "still not talking, he only answers questions still, I just came out to get him a glass of water," I sighed. "do you want me to talk to him? maybe he just needs a little motherly comfort?" she offered, "I think he needs me right now, but thank you," I said getting Kurt a glass of water before going back into the bedroom

"here you go my love," I said setting the glass on the nightstand and helping him sit up before handing him the water, "thank you," he muttered quietly. I just smiled and kissed his temple.

it broke my heart to see Kurt so... broken, not only physically but mentally, he didn't talk really, and when he did talk it was only when I asked him a question or he absolutely needed to go to the bathroom (and I wish I was joking). I guess the fall down the stairs changed him more than I thought, and I couldn't help but feel guilty for all of this, I felt like I had broken him and I guess I had.

Flashback:

I had called Kurt around an hour or maybe two or three beforehand told him that we were going out to dinner in Westerville, it was 2 hours away but Kurt and I hadn't spent much time together with regionals coming up.

I arrived at the Hudson-Hummel house and knocked on the door, Burt let me inside and told me Kurt was still getting ready so I texted him and told him that I would wait in the living room for him to be ready

after around 5 minutes of waiting Kurt came running out of his room and slipped, "MY GOD!" I screamed, seeing the love of my life tumbling down the stairs, when his body hit the floor, he was uncouisous. I immediately started crying and rushed over to him, while Carole started calling 911, "I'm sorry Kurtie," I mumbled kneeling next to him,

his beautiful face was bleeding and the ambulance arrived a few minutes later, they let me go with him in the Ambulance and I remember once arriving at the hospital Burt and Carole was already there, and they rushed him into emergency surgery.

I spent the night in the waiting room while Kurt underwent a 23-hour long operation
