"Mia! Mia! Honey wake up!" I heard my mother say shaking me. I jumped up and looked around.
"What happened?" I asked. "Honey the surgery was a success!" she said hugging me. "Michael...." I said looking around.
"Oh honey Michael's fine. He's right behind that curtain eating jello." she said pointing. I looked around and Michael peeked out and smiled.
"Hey little birdie." he said with that white smile. "Michael you're ok!" I said jumping up but was stopped by wires.
"Whoa slow down there." he said giggling. We all laughed. "Ill leave you two alone." Mother said smiling. Michael and I nodded and the door closed. "You were right. We were gonna be ok." I said laying down next to him.
"Just have some faith in me and I wont let you down." he said smiling.
"Can I taste some?" I said looking at the jello. He giggled. "Of course." he said handing it to me. I tasted it and ate some more.
"You can have it if you want. I have another one here." he said grabbing the cherry kind. I looked at him and smiled.
"I love you." I said looking in his eyes. "I love you more Mia." he said kissing my forehead. His shirt was a little loose and I got a glimpse of his scar. I ran my hand slowly up and down the line and he gasped.
"You did this for me." I said looking at it. "Because I love you." he said touching my hand. I smiled and held his hand.
"We're having a baby to love." I said smiling. "I dont care if its a boy or girl. Im gonna love my child to death." Michael said looking out the window. I leaned in and kissed him and I tasted cherry.
"Cherry and lime taste so good together." Michael said giggling. I giggled and layed back down. Hopefully it was time to go back home so we can start over with only one kidney in us.
