-Connor's POV-
Leah disappeared as soon as we stepped foot into the school building, walking off as fast as she could. I thought I saw her talking to Abigail a while ago but she also disappeared almost as soon as I had spotted her. She was acting really weird, they both were, but maybe that was just how Abigail was. I'd only just met her so don't blame me for not knowing.
It didn't actually concern me anyway, so I went straight to my locker to retrieve my gym bag. As I walked towards the row of lockers I saw that Dylan and Zach were waiting for me, both of their bodies leaning against the lockers. Well, actually seemed like only Dylan was waiting. Zach was instead being held against the lockers by his shirt so he wouldn't walk away. It looked like he was sulking.
''Oh, hey." I called. "What are you doing here?'' I asked Dylan.
''How did you ask Leah out?'' He asked with a straight face, not answering my question.
I rolled my eyes; he was taking this way too seriously. I'm sure it must be painful seeing your best friend dating your crush but he had challenged me. Why challenge someone to something that was ultimately going to hurt your feelings?
''Can't I explain it next break?" I asked, sighing heavily. "This break is nearly over and I don't want to be late for gym.'' I said trying to make it sound like I was pleading him.
''Nope," He answered. "You have to explain it now because I ain't movin' nowhere until I get my answer.''
Damn Dylan and his stubbornness.
I quickly tried to explain to him how it happened whilst leaving some details aside.
''You BLACKMAILED HER?'' He cried in disgust.
''Yeah, so?" I shrugged. "I really want to get to know her anyway. Even if we don't date, I want to befriend her.'' I muttered.
''Don't take her out on a date, she doesn't deserve to be lied to.'' He claimed with a furious tone.
''YOU were the one who CHALLENGED me." I shouted. "I am a man of my word and so shall I remain. Plus, at least I didn't shut her out just because I got threatened.'' I said, teasing him.
''Don't even get onto that subject, bruh.'' He said.
I could sense that he was really furious.
The bell rang, but as everybody began walking to their classes, we remained at the lockers, staring each other down. Zach warned us about keeping quiet, resulting in him getting a punch in the stomach by Dylan
''Wow, buckle up there," I warned. "Zack has nothing to do with this.
Dylan tried to punch my face in reply, but I dodged his arm, pulling back my own fist to hit his eye. The rest was kind of a blur. We had a little fist fight, which was presently stopped once the Principle walked down the corridor. We got sent to his room and he gets us suspended for the rest of the day. As we left his office, Zach kept telling us that he knew it was wrong from the beginning.
