" Momma you crying inside, did dragon come to your dreams momma," Lilly asked in her sweet little voice. I looked at the clock on the wall behind her seeing it was 6:30 am and I need to be in the cafe in half an hour.

"Momma you there " She tugs on my turtle neck sweater sleeves. I picked her up" Yes baby momma is and no I was not crying or any dragon come to my dream don't worry baby. Know to tell me what you want to eat today it's Friday and you don't have to go to school today so tell me " I asked while putting her in front of the kitchen counter so I can look at her while I cook.

She puts her finger in her chin trying to think and then suddenly she smiled at me with some mischievous in her eyes and I knew what she is going to ask for breakfast and I will not be able to say no her it's always been difficult for me to say no her.

"Can I have Chocolate pancakes with honey and strawberry with it " She gave me her best puppy eyes and me and she both knew that she is having that for breakfast for sure. I glared at her as well as I could she giggled looking at me.

'' all right but till the time I am making your breakfast full of sugar you go and do your morning routine and take bath. today you are going with me Diego and Eva want to meet you and also you have to eat'' before  I could complete my sentence she hopped out of her chair running towards her room screaming '' I  am going to meet Nana and Papi today yeah'' and there goes my today day.

Diego and Eva are kind of parents to me they are not biological but they were the first ones to see me when I came to New York from California there cafe was the one where I and Lilly waited to have the same breakfast Lilly was a few months older and I was a few months away from 18 birthday,  they saw me with Lilly and helped me out off the situation I was in, at that time  I don't use to talk and shattered a  lot while speaking. they took us in with them it took me a whole one year to tell them about my past and condition. Eva gave me the same love and hope that my mother use to give me, in the starting I use to be afraid of Diego because of my father but after a while, for the first time in my life, I could feel how it felt to be loved by a  father figure.

They both don't have any kids, Eva told me that she was pregnant in her teen with Diego and had a miscarriage because accident. after the Doctor said that they could never become parents after that. it had been 4 years since I had come here and they both came into my life. I become their daughter and Lilly become their granddaughter, they are Italian so they told Lilly to say, Nana and Papi. 

it's like a full family I could ever ask Eva the calm one, Diego is the with high temper when it comes to any of us, Lilly is their spoiled granddaughter and I am their always wanted daughter, they tell me to say them, mom and dad. I do call EVA mom but calling dad to Diego is not the problem but saying dad would always bring back memories of my own father and Diego is far away from him. I came out of my thought when MY ALARM ring to take my daily routine three-time medicines.

'' wow, momma it's all look soo yummy momma. thank you so much, momma '' Lilly said . ''your welcome honey''.

we finished our breakfast and head out of our two-room apartment. I make sure I have my phone,  apartment key, my medicines, and other basic need of Lilly and we head out. the cafe is not far away it's two blocks away from our apartment and our apartment is two houses away from Eva and Diego's house. 

I opened the gate of the cafe and with that bell of the cafe, the door rings making my and Lilly's presence known to everyone...

'' There is my Figlia and nipotina . did you take your morning medicines and eat your breakfast liv''[ daughter and granddaughter]  mom asked while taking Lilly from my hands and start walking towards Diego and her office at the back where it separates cafe and club, yes they have many clubs and cafes like this everywhere in new york and other states.

she opened the door of the office Lilly wiggle out of mom's hands and run to  Diego screaming Papi, Papi .he captures her in his  arms .'' how is my princess, did you take your medicines and breakfast liv'' he said turning towards me 

'' yes I did and good morning to you two to some time  I feel you both love her more than me '' I pout towards them while folding hands in front of me. I am not jealous I will never be they truly love me and Lilly las their own children.

'' come on you know we love you also Figlia '' Diego come towards me and embrace me in a tight warm hug with him and Lilly. '' come to my love why are you standing there like this do want an individual hug only for you '' Diego says looking at mom, she blushed '' ew ew stop it you two I don't want to see my parents flirting like this get a room you old people'' I said walking towards the door to start working,'' heyy who do you think you calling old young lady  I can still make your mother scream my name '' he said I look towards mom with big eyes, she was full red by the time '' Diego, Diego, '' Lilly scream and we all looked at her Diego burst into laughter with Lilly and I shake my head blissfully at them and walk out of the room, while mom ran towards them screaming at  Diego while he runs carrying lily in his hold.

I wore my apron and hat stand behind the counter ready to start a new day and most difficult thing for me to talk to strangers taking their orders without shattering ..bell rings of the cafe told me that my day has started...
