(Chapter 3) the morning sun

(BL POV)

Another day in this gloomy cell which actually has gotten a little better. Red velvet has Been coming by everyday just to give me food and talk a little, yesterday he gave me a note book and pens too. He's really not that bad once you get to know him red even said he wants to fine a way for me to see the sun again. I heard footsteps footsteps that I've become very familiar with.

"Good morning general red" I teased getting up from my bed and going to the bars. Seeing red velvet's face was the only thing keeping me said now since the dripping stopped.

"Good morning to you as well blue, I have something for you" he said that almost everyday and everyday he actually did wether it was food or a gift.

"What is it??" I asked leanings against the bars with a smirk. He shook his head knowing what that smirk was for, I usually try and tease him but that doesn't work anymore. Red pulled out what looked to be just some rag fabric but once he unfolded it I could see it was a cape.

"My gift to you is to see this beautiful morning" he passed the cape through the bars as he took out a key to unlock my cell.

"Wait what you letting me out just for the morning!?" I covered my face feeling like I was about to cry from happiness. Red nodded as he opened the cell door his face held a kind look to it. I stayed still for a moment before sprinting out and hugging him.

"Thank you thank you thank you oh thank red velvet!" My grip loosen as I feel a hand on my head it was red.

"Your welcome now" he put the cape around my neck "let's go see the sun" he took my hand as I put up the hood so no one sees me but I finally got to see the rest of the castle. when I got here I was out cold so this was all new, we went through the thorn room and meany halls till we found the exit.

"Almost there" red pulled me up next to him with a smile, he was happy but why? I could see the light of the morning sun through the bared door but we stopped. In front of us was that dammed grim reaper the same one that took my eye.

"Good morning red velvet Hmm who is this" the dark boy pointed to me as he spoke. Fear consumed me making me hide behind red.

"Good morning licorice This is ah... a new recruit... yes a new recruit I'm going to be training them that is why we are going outside." Red put a hand on my shoulder pulling me closer. The grim reaper like boy didn't seem to believe him but shrugged it off.

"If you say so, good day general" licorice walked away not getting a reply from ether of us. After what happened to me I've come to both fear and hate licorice because I have to wear this bloody eye patch.

"Are you alright" red tightened his grip on my shoulder witch hurt a little. I nodded as we kept walking through the bared door and out in to the court yard. Covering my eye was out of the question because of velvets grip on my shoulder.

"I missed the sun so much it's so warm and comfortable" I sighed taking in the beautiful warmth of the sun it was calming in a way. "I never thought I'd see this again"

"Well now you are and maybe you'll get to see it more with what I told licorice" red velvet let go of me allowing me to move closer to the warmth. Looking back at him I noticed he was smiling something that was rare to see even for me.

"So you telling him I'm a new recruit will get me out of that cell" I turned back towards the sun again and removed my eye patch and hood. The sun's warms on my now scared, half closed and blind eye was so refreshing.

"Yes and you'll finely get to see your siblings and the sun and all of this ever day" reds words put pictures in my mind of me, my siblings and maybe even red velvet all of us together and happy.  I turned around with a smile he seemed a little spooked probably from my eye.

"Well then it looks like I'm joining the dark enchantress army"
