school sucks, but hey im finally starting to see an end to this story, so hopefully i'll update more.

not sure on destiny's pronouns, so i just decided they/them, also i would've done a ??? pov for dramatic effect but it was pretty obvious on who it was lol

Error Pov 

'It's so dark... where am I?'

The dark boned skeleton awoke only to find himself in an endless darkness, but for some reason he didn't feel afraid. He noticed that something was off, but he felt no need to care, because for the first time, something had changed after an attempt. 

"Wait," he wondered aloud, "I- I don't feel any pain?"

Suddenly a soft, yet sorrow filled voice spoke behind him.

"Hello my child, my name is Destiny, and this is my realm. " 

As the being spoke, softly lit orbs of light began floating into the room, illuminating the space.

"What happened?"

They hesitated, then said, "I'm so sorry young one, that I could never be there for you in your time of need."

Then, he finally realized, he finally succeeded. 

All those years of suffering he had endured, the stress of keeping the whole multiverse together,  the people and monsters he'd killed... it was all finally over. 

"Umm... I'm sorry to bother you, but can you tell me if... if Ink found the letter?" he asked in a quiet voice, and in his head wondered if Ink would stop to save his beloved creations, well the ones that are left. 

"Yes, Fates child has found it, along with others... and they understand now."

He could barely even believe it, but the hesitation in their voice made him think there was something they weren't telling him.

Then, Destiny spoke.

"You cannot return there, this is where your journey ends. I am not powerful enough to give you a second chance, I apologize."

He then began to notice that he was crying.

"Heh, I guess I really am selfish," he said with happy tears, " to be so pleased I can finally know peace, even if it means leaving people behind." 

"You may stay here if you wish, but you can also watch over the multiverse if that would bring you closure. I had a feeling you would want that, I created you after all."

He paused for a moment before saying, "Yes, that would be... the best option. Thank you."

*Your destiny has been completed. This fills you with fulfillment*

Yeah so uh sorry this is short. Also just for clarification, Error is dead dead. He wont be coming back or be reincarnated in another universe. I hope you enjoyed thoooo!
