Claps echoed in the room for band performance, I kept staring at the person who took my interest with his voice. Sadly my time was up and I had to rush back to attend a seminar, but his voice kept on ringing in my head.
In Seminar hall, I have tried my best to get myself back from the music school and concentrate on the seminar but I could not put my hands off from typing Shaurya D'Cruz in every social media. Again I tried to get my mind to focus on the topic by switching off my mobile. Damn me, why am I behaving like a teen who is bewitched my her crush, maybe my Dopamine levels got spiked up. In that case I should control it back and I started taking deep breaths .
Neha watched me with a bewildered look
"Saanvi, What's wrong? You want to go out for a moment"
" No need, I am okay " I assured with smile.
Again I started smiling for my foolish act and my smile got bigger remembering him.
Neha poked me asking " Did something happened? "
I just nodded No, but the smile didn't leave my face
It's late evening, after seminar we directly headed to room. I thought of calling dad, suddenly guilt crossed my mind for not informing him about my music college admission. To be honest, I am unsure of his reaction on this, even if he agrees for my sake but he would think I may sabotage my studies and will keep on worrying about my career. My father never had any dreams, all he ever wanted is our better future and I cannot let him down, So I have to manage studies along with my other interests.
Next day, my first class went smooth and I had blast with violin after so many years. I went to café to meet some of my seniors whom neha introduced me, but the sight here surprised me literally to the core because it seems more like a library than a café. Back in our campus, it was all hustle bustle that we could not even get to hear the other person, it is a discussion place for most of the groups and hangout place for number of people, sometimes even playground for few. But here, I don't see a single chair misplaced and the walls are covered with art work.
I can see few people sitting calmly doing their work. I find it great place to have my case study docs completed without any disruption. After few minutes, my seniors joined me.
Sithara and Surbhi, they are actually friends of neha with whose help I got to join this music school. They are one of the coolest persons I have come across. Being my seniors, they were so helpful on guiding me on everything here from enrolling to the evening classes to convincing trainers about my hours. Surbhi is the most chilled person to hang out with.
" Studying?" Sithara enquired seeing me all serious in to my PC.
"No, I was just completing some pending work " I replied closing my Dellbook
"Come on yaar, Always into studies...So, how was your first day? How did you find the class? Is it interesting? I hope everyone is good and helpful..." Surbhi started her chain of questions.
"Yeah Surbhi, the class was good and so was everyone" I had to stop her from trail of questionings.
"That's all?" she scorned.
" yeah.. In our campus, first day used to be very interactive where seniors guides you, rags you and we will have fun things to break the ice of being fresher. Here it is more of formal and conventional place" I reasoned.
"Achaaaa.........then, as your senior I would grant your wish of being ragged" she sounded mischievous.
