"Life's a beach!" I told myself.

Whoah! Summer is just an inch away! Most of my teammates have already gone home and I am now packing my things to go to Bulacan. I decided to help my mom manage our resort this summer since I haven't decided if I'm gonna enroll myself for a masters degree.

But enough with school first! I don't wanna ruin my summer vacation.

Freedoooooom! Whew. After almost a year of being jailed having a dorm-school-gym life, at long last I am free! Now is the time to embrace liberty.

"Chos! Ang OA ng mind ko." I grin at my thoughts. So silly of me. Who wouldn't be ecstatic though?

I drive for a couple of minutes to reach our resort in Pulilan. When I stepped out of my car, my babies Miko and Mikole immediately run towards my direction and give me a tight embrace.

"Aba! Aba! Na-miss nyo 'ko ng sobra no?" I told them while fixing myself after a long tight hug.

"Of course ate! Asan na po yung J.Co doughnuts na nirequest ko?" 'Twas Mikole.

"Ah yun naman pala kaya ako na miss." I smirked.

"Tara na po sa loob!" Miko invited while carrying my stuff.

Today is such a very good day for me. Chill like a boss! No homework, projects and trainings. Grabe lang!

I get the chance to have a girl bonding with my mom since dad offered to take over to manage the resort today.

"Girl bonding daw tayo sabi ng papa mo." Mama said with a funny face. I don't know what she's up to but I'm pretty sure she's got a plan for today.

"Parang ang ganda ng gising natin Ma ha!?"

Mama just shrug. "'Lika na nga!" Whoah. Excited?

"Where to ba ma?"

Indeed, it's a girl bonding. My mom brought me to a salon for a total make over. Haircut, facial, manicure, pedicure and body massage. Wow! My mother's kikayness. We then decided to go back to our resort after such activities.

"Grabe ma! Kagutom din magpaganda no?!"

"Ikaw puro ka talaga pagkain. Pero tama ka. Tara na nga. Uwi na tayo!" That's mom. She'd contradict at first but would agree at the end.

I drive back to our resort with a noisy tummy. I am very excited to reach home because I have been imagining the dishes for our lunch since I started driving. Good thing my senses are still working properly. Kung hindi, nabangga na kami siguro.

I immediately get out of my car and hurriedly walk to one of the cottages of our resort. Unknowingly, Ate Aereen and her family arrived few minutes earlier as well as my Kuya Perry.

"Oh my gosh! Ate! Kuya!" They themselves are shocked when they saw me. They didn't know that I am going home today. Nobody also told them I arrived earlier. We hug and kiss each other and settled to our usual spots on the table.

I didn't expect that this day would turn out to be a family bonding. I just planned to go home to spend my summer vacation and fortunately Ate Aereen and her family decided to visit the resort. Plus Kuya Perry decided to spend his day off here, this would definitely be a wonderful moment. I miss moments like these. I never had a lot of chance to enjoy and have fun with them the moment I entered the portals of DLSU and became one of the Lady Spikers.

We had lunch for an hour. Some of my family members are having their siesta now while I get the chance to take a nap at my favorite spot, in a hammock under the shady trees.

I am woken up by the ring of my phone. "Hello?!" I greeted the caller without any emotion.

"Uy bhie! Okay ka lang?" It's Jessey on the other line. "Yes. Why naman? Sarap kaya ng tulog ko but panira ka! You woke me up kaya."

"Aw! Eh di sorry. Patawarin!" She's cute. I laugh. "Bhie I'm here in Bulacan. Come here if you have time." I invited her. Knowing Jessey, she wouldn't say no but... "Hay kung wala lang sanang summer classes, ngayon pa lang nag-iimpake na 'ko for my one month stay there." Busy is an understatement!

"Catch up soon Bhie. Just beep me lang if you have time to unwind at least for a day." I pity her. Now don't ask me how she got her model fiugre and slim body type. BS Architecture is the answer!

Our phone conversation lasted for an hour. Yeah, an hour. Jessey has a lot of stories to offer so our conversation always takes a long time.

As soon as we finished our chika minute, I put on some sunblock and headed to the shore for a walk. Until now, I cannot say that I have fully moved on from our loss, our second loss, so I try to contemplate while I am walking in a serene seaside.

I get the chance to realize what has to be done and not to be done next time if ever I would play on my fifth year. The sea has always been a part of my meditation whenever I have heavy loads on my shoulder. It always feels good to feel eveytime I see the waves, may they be big or small, it feels like they wash away the pain in my heart.

"Pheeeeew!" I release a deep sigh to shake off negative thoughts.

The sky turned a bit dark and some stars are already visible. Mister moon is already peeking behind the clouds.

Tomorrow is another day. A day to enjoy the sun, the sand and the sea.

I'm ready to be sun kissed!
