AVNEIL MEET EACH OTHER

Neil got out of the car. His phone rang the minute he went inside. It said an unknown number. ''Hello?'' ''Hello Mr.Neil Khanna saahab'' a female voice replied. Neil Khanna sahab?  ''May I know who is this?'' ''Who am I isn't important. Why I called you is important.'' He was confused. Before he could reply she continued. ''I have kidnapped your dear, dear, dear,  Mithali friend. So, If you want her alive come and get her. He was like wait what?  ''Where should I come? How much?'' ''How much? I don't want your silly money.'' ''What else do you want?'' ''I will tell that when I meet you- Meet me at the back of your house.'' Wait what? She is hiding in my own house? Now, He was totally confused. He walked back to his house. He found that the lights were switched off. ''HELLO?'' The lights were back and he found Mithali standing and smiling at him. I flinched. ''Mithali? You freaked me out! Tum vahan kade ho ke mujhe is taraf dekh kyu rahe ho- Aur kaun hai voh ladki jisne bataya ki tumko vah kidnap kar diya? do you know how tensed I was?'' ''COOLDOWN Khanna sahab...'' said a voice. It was the voice that spoke to me on the phone.

I turned, the lady walked in. She looked familiar. It felt like I have known for ages. Her eyes were brown and beautiful. ''Yaad hai mujhe Khanna sahab? Ya rhea se pyaar karna shuru karke sab bhool gaya?'' ''AVNI!?'' She nodded. First, There was an awkward silence. Mithali broke it and said ''I will be out'' and left the hall.

There was a few moments of silence. ''Abhi bi Jalebi se pyaar karti ho?'' He said. ''Saare zindagi karoongi.'' She said giggling. He ran and gave her a tight hug. She hugged him back. ''Abhi bi Rasagulla hi tumhara pehla pyaar hai?'' ''mmm'' he said laughing still hugging her. They got away from the hug. He saw her smiling at him happily showing all her teeth. ''How much I missed your bright face.'' ''How much I miss the chubby wala Neil saahab'' he gave her a look and she stuck her tongue out. She always called him that and he loved it. 

''Itni din baad aaye ho, toh kaise ho? I said as we walked out. ''Main? main toh aur achchi nahi ho sakti ho. Tum?'' Before I could reply she continued. ''Tum toh KHANNA INDUSTRIES KI CEO bane waale ho. Tum achcha hi hoga'' ''Tumhe kaise pata hai?'' ''Google main dekhi thi'' ''GOOGLE?? Par main-- Meri ma bhi na.'' ''Tumhe abhi bi yaad hai?'' ''Google of Neil Khanna tumne meri ma ki naam rakhi thi.YAAD HAI MUJHE.'' ''Arey wah mujhe laga ta ki--'' ''Rhea ke pyaar main sab bhool jaaungi? Rhea ko bhi bhool sakta hoon, humari memories ko kabhi nahi.'' She gave a wicked smile. ''Oops.Rhea ko mat batao teekhe?'' ''Bataongi bataongi'' She said and started running. ''AVNI! NO!'' I smiled and started running behind her back.

''Hi! Sweta aunty!'' ''Rhea? Aao beta aao. Tumne tumhari saari kapde kharid li kya? Ye Tilu bhi na main use keh rahi hoon voh sun hi nahi raha hai. Tum uske saath jaake sab kharid lo teekhe?'' ''Haan sure aunty. Mujhe shopping karni hai. Neil kaha hai?'' ''Pata nahi yahan hi kaha hoga'' ''Teekhe aunty dekhti hoon'' Rhea said and started looking for him. He was there at the back laughing and talking with someone. She went to him. It was a woman. She looked familiar. But who is she? ''Rhea!?'' The woman said excitedly. That was when I recognized her. ''AVNI? AVNI MEHTA!?'' Avni came and hugged her. ''Kaise ho tum? Tumhe pata hai main kitni khush hoon aap dono ke liye? Muje toh 8th main hi pata tha aap dono shaadi karlenge. Didn't I say, Rhea?'' ''Haan haan shant ho jao Jhansi ki Rani. Mujhe bhi bolne do. I really really missed you!!!'' she said and hugged her again. ''Till when are you staying?'' ''Shaadi khatam hone se mey chale jaaungi''

''What? why? Cant, you stay for a few more days?'' ''Mujhe kuch program attend karni hai aur main waapas US jaa rahi hoon.'' Avni replied. ''Waapas ja rahi ho? itni jaldi?'' Neil said as he was listening to the whole conversation. ''Kya karoon main Neil? Mujhe ek program attend karni hai aur main-'' ''NEIL! Tum toh free ho na? jaake tumhaari shaadi ke liye kapde khareed ke aao. Avni tum bhi jaao na.'' Sweta said interrupting. ''AUNTY MAIN-'' ''Haan! Haan! Tum bhi aao. Meri taraf se teekhe? Tum ladki wale ki side se hi ho. END OF CONVERSATION.'' ''Aise kaise?Avni ladke walo ki taraf se hi hai'' Neil protested. ''No!'' rhea replied. Neil and Rhea started to fight on this. Sweta sighed and left. ''STOP. Stop. I SAID STOP!'' Neil and rhea stopped fighting. ''Main Rhea ki side se hoon aur neil tumhari taraf se ek bohat khaas aadmi aa rahi hai.'' ''KAUN?'' Rhea and Neil asked together. ''Ek minute'' Avni said and called someone. ''HELLO? KAHAN HO TUM? MAIN TUMHARE LIYE KAB SE INTEZAAR KAR RAHI HOON!'' Neil gave a face to Rhea which said Who is she talking to. She gave him back a look saying I DONT KNOW. ''AA GAYE HO? Teekhe teekhe.'' she said and ended the call. ''Ab toh batao kaun?'' Neil asked. ''Peeche dekho'' They both turned and saw. ''DD!?'' ''Haan main hoon!'' He said showing all his teeth. DD short for Dakhal Dyal. He was their classmate from 6th to 12th. Also Neil's Best Friend.

''DD!!!'' Neil walked to him and gave a friendly hug. ''Mujhe pata nahi tha ki tum aa rahe tho'' ''AVNI ne hi mujhe invite kiya tha.'' ''You both were still in touch?'' Rhea asked. DD nodded. ''AVNI aur kaun aa rahe hai?'' Neil asked. ''You should ask me that'' said Rhea. ''You will see as they arrive.'' Rhea said giving a wicked smile. Neil knew something big will happen before his marriage at that moment.
