Will love find its way?

NEIL REMINISCE HIS LOVE

10 minutes have passed, and Avni and Neil are still stuck in the room-

''Sab kuch try kar chuke hain! Kuch nahi hone wale hai! Sab aane ke intezaar karni hi hogi'' Avni said giving a kick at the door. ''Hum tum ek kamre band ho gayeee..aur chabi kho jaaye!'' Neil sang mockingly at Avni. She gave a frown and nudged him with her elbows. ''Bahar se koi andar na aa sake, Andar se koi baahar na ja sake'' Neil continued and moved towards Avni. ''Neil chup kar, NEIL!'' Avni started running around the room and Neil sang while chasing her. Avni stumbled upon one of the boxes and Neil caught her. They were staring at each other as Neil was holding her. Avni broke eye contact and Neil let her stand up.  Suddenly, she caught a glimpse of light coming from the top of the room. She started to observe around it, while Neil was still staring at her.

Neil's POV-

She was the same. ''The funny, childish, and getting irritated for no reason Avni'' who he knew and loved when he was young. LOVED. That word suddenly gave him fear and a weird feeling. If his feelings for her were returning, he has to avoid it. He was getting married to Rhea. Even though the thought of losing her again gave him the worst feeling. He braced himself. She was his first love. I thought I had lost her when she left. It took me some months but eventually, I did come through. It's been 12 years. Surely I still can't be in love with her. Can I?

12 years ago-

''Students we have a new student today! Welcome, Avni Mehta to our class!'' My class teacher announced and she came in. She was wearing a blue sweatshirt with normal track pants. ''Avni introduce yourself'' ''Hi everyone! I am Avni Mehta and I'm from California. I just shifted here last month and I am excited to join you all'' ''Thank you Avni, Take a seat anywhere you like!'' She took a seat next to Rhea who was sitting just behind me. 

Present time-

''NEIL! NEIL! Zinda ho?'' I came back from my thoughts and gave a look at Avni. ''Kab se bhula rahi hoon, kis duniya gayi thi!?'' ''Voh main-'' ''Usse chodo, vahan dekh'' she said pointing behind me, I turned around and saw that there was a window over there. ''Usse hum bahar jaayenge teekhe?'' ''USSE!? Impossible!!'' I exclaimed. ''Aur koi option bhi Nahi hai, mere pass. Tumhare pass hai toh batao na!'' ''FINE, FINE! Aao dekhte hai'' Neil sighed.''Tum mujhe uthao aur main usse bahar jaane ki koshish karthi hoon.'' He nodded and lifted her up. Avni managed to grab the Window's sill. ''Aur uthao!'' I tried to push her up, but I gave up and let her down after a min or two. ''Mujhse nahi hoga!'' I said gasping for breath.''Kyun? Arey thodi der bhi mujhe nahi sambhaloge!?'' Avni complained. ''Moti lagti hoon na main tumhe!?'' ''Iss sawal ka jawab koi aaj tak koi bhi ladke ek aurat se nahi de paaye'' Neil murmured seeing here and there. ''Matlab main tumhe moti lagti hoon!'' ''Maine aisa kab kaha!?'' ''Par tumne ye bhi toh nahi kaha ki main moti nahi lagti hoon!'' (AND AT THIS MOMENT HE KNEW THAT HE F**KED UP)

At that moment the door opened up. ''Papa!?'' Neil exclaimed and hugged him. ''Papa ji!'' Avni came upto him. ''Avni?'' She smiled and nodded. He gave her a hug too. ''Waise tum dono yahan kya kar rahe ho?Door kisne lock kiya?'' Prakash (Neil's Dad) enquired. ''Hum yahan boxes rakhne ke liye aaye the'' Avni said. ''Kisne lock kiya hume nahi pata'' Neil finished. ''Teekhe teekhe aao'' They both smiled and walked with him.
