Chapter 1 I became a BIRD!

It's the first day of school and my alarm wakes me up out of a good dream "Ugh I hate school". Meet Austin Garcia our very convenient main character. He has beautiful brown eyes and messy brown hair.

His mom has already left for work. They live in a small apartment. Austin gets ready for school, brushes his hair, finds a nice outfit, and walks over to his bathroom to brush his teeth and shower.

Austin also makes cereal and sits on the couch. He turns the TV on and sees a large outbreak of evil supers on the loose. No one knows how more and more of them are popping up around the city.

He ignores it because the news reporter said the police have it under control. Austin realizes that it's almost time to go to school but his sister still hasn't woken up.

He walks to his sister's room and shakes her once but she doesn't wake up. Like any other big brother, he walks to the bathroom fills a cup of water, and walks back into her room. Austin splashes her with the water and she instantly jolts up Austin bursts out laughing. She yells at him.

Then she kicks him out and gets ready. By the time she is done, they are already cutting it close. Luckily, the school isn't that far from their house. She comes out of her room panicking looking for her keys. Austin has them in his hands. He shakes it a bit and she rolls her eyes and snatches them from him.

She does an angry look at him as they walk out the door. Austin is on the way to his school and meets up with his friend Chris Baker. Austin and Chris have been friends since kindergarten and Chris lives on Austin's street. While they are walking Austin's sister is on her phone Chris taps Austin's shoulder and says "Set me up with your sister you know I always liked her".

Austin says "Not going to happen Chris you're probably not even her type". Chris isn't an ugly guy but my sister isn't into goofballs like him. Plus I have known him since kindergarten and she sees Chris as my friend. In response, Chris says, "I'll help you ask Addison out if you would like me to help you".

Austin says "First off I don't need your help with that and second I'm not trying to ruin our friendship". Chris says "What friendship? She is clearly into you, and you are into her too".

Austin rolls his eyes and yells, "Shut up man". They arrive at school and his sister runs off to her class after waving bye. They meet up with their other best friend Addison. She is what everyone calls the hottest girl in school so everyone obsesses over her.

She is also super popular. She has black eyes and black hair. The trio walks to class and sits at their desks. Austin's seat is next to Addison and Chris is behind Austin. Addison starts talking to one of her friends. Her name is Olivia Anderson and she has brown eyes and long black hair but most people think she is crazy.

Rumors spread that Olivia is a homewrecker. So what happened was Addison had a very big party last year while her parents were out of town. She got caught kissing one of the popular girls named Mia's, boyfriend so now everywhere she walks, she gets bullied.

Addison has been her friend for 2 years and they are best friends. They start talking about who they like when Olivia says "I really like this girl I have been talking to recently".

In reality, Addison doesn't even realize Olivia is talking about her. Addison responds, "Well you already know my heart is all for Austin if he would just ask me out already". Addison says this pretty loud so Austin hears her.

Austin clearly overhears this and realizes that it wasn't just in everyone's heads. His best friend just admitted to liking him. He is excited because he was worried the feeling wasn't mutual.

Now Austin is stressing about whether he should ask her out right now or wait until the end of the day. He ends up thinking about it all day. After school, Austin and Chris walk Addison home at the end of the day because she lives the closest to school.

Before she walks into her house Austin turns to Addison. She looks back and he can't bring himself to mention it so he replies "See you tomorrow".

She waves and yells "You too idiot" She smiles and walks into the house. Austin looks at Chris and he is very visibly mad. Chris exclaims "That was the perfect moment to say it". Austin says "I know I'm sorry I just couldn't". Chris says "I'm disappointed in you".

He shakes his head and they both start walking home. On their way home, they pass this alley where they see a drug deal going on. Austin stops Chris and says "Look a drug deal shouldn't we call the police"?

Chris says "We really should just keep it pushing idiot you're not going to be a hero by calling the cops on a drug deal". There are guys in white coats and Austin is barely able to see that they have long special swords that look like they have special engravings on them. They also have a signature symbol.

It seems to say CHAOS but then they give one briefcase to the guy in the black coat. As soon as they do he opens it to a glowing purple liquid in a small canister. He puts it in the syringe and injects himself.

The man starts bubbling up and turning into a super short for superhuman, and he has huge muscles and then attacks the soldiers. The guy the super just killed drops the briefcase that had another batch of the mysterious drug and it lands right in front of them.

So they pick it up but then the muscle super sees Chris and Austin and it runs at them. While Austin dodges it, Chris isn't so lucky because it punches him right into the wall. Austin is trying to run away to get help but gets grabbed and thrown deeper into the alley.

The super turns back to Chris and starts to punch him harder into the wall. However, Austin gets an idea why he is trying to fistfight a giant super so he says "If I can't beat them I will join them" while holding up the syringe.

The super looks back and starts running toward him. Austin injects himself with it even though the super is trying to punch him in his transformation he lights up gold. The sheer amount of power blows the super away but then Austin becomes a BIRDMAN?

Even though he's a birdman he jumps at the super and finds out he can summon a bird sword made of feathers. He runs at him, and he slides under the super while blocking the punch the super just threw. He gets behind him and kicks the super in the back knocking off the giant super's balance and causing it to fall.

Austin hops on the super's back and cuts its head off.

Austin runs back to Chris who isn't looking good. Austin panics until he decides the syringe can heal Chris. Austin says "Chris will die unless I give him this syringe". Austin finds a vein and injects Chris with it.

Chris wakes up instantly but looks the same. Chris is freaked out by his best friend who is now a bird. Chris says he feels okay enough to walk back to his place and they should go their separate ways so he doesn't get hunted down by CHAOS.

Austin gets a little curious and decides to inspect the dead soldiers' bodies. He looks up the CHAOS organization on the internet and finds out that CHAOS specializes in the eradication of supers.

Austin says "So why were they giving out the syringes to turn people into supers?" Austin realizes they are turning people into supers so they can be test subjects but then with his enhanced hearing, he hears metal churning and things clinging to buildings. It's CHAOS.
