Aurora Marie Forbes was born in a small town in Virginia called Mystic falls. Her twin sister, Caroline, and her could not be more different. Aurora had always thought that she was just... ordinary. In fact, everyone but Aurora could see how special she was. And even though Aurora had some confidence issues, Caroline never failed to help make her feel special. Caroline helped Aurora gain the courage to try and pursue some of her biggest interests. For example, Caroline helped Aurora gain the courage to join Cheerleading because she knew Aurora loved to dance.

You wouldn't know it by looking at her, but Aurora had big dreams. She wanted to leave her small town, get a degree and travel the work. And while she did have big dreams, she liked her life uncomplicated. And things were relatively simple until a "young" Stefan Salvatore stepped into town. Both twins immediately took a liking to Stefan but in complete opposite ways. Caroline wanted to "rip his clothes off and kiss every toned inch of his toned skin" until she was "drunk off his abs", but Aurora just thought of him as family.

Aurora and Stefan got along like brother and sister right from the start. He was like a guardian, always trying to make sure she was safe, even though she really didn't need it. In fact, she punched Damon straight in the face when she found out what he was doing to Caroline. Stefan never wanted Aurora to become a part of the supernatural world. She was too...good. That's why he was so devastated when he found out she was an un-triggered wolf. It didn't make sense to Stefan. Caroline wasn't a wolf, so why was she? His question was soon answered when Aurora told Stefan about heteropaternal superfecundation, which basically means "one daddy per twin". Caroline's dad was a human, like her mom. But Aurora's dad was a werewolf in town for the night. Liz used said wolf to get revenge on her husband after finding out he was having an affair.

Aurora was innocent, she was kind. The assholes at her school saw her as a prize to be one, the jealous girlfriends saw her as competition. But even with the dirty looks, Aurora always flashed you a smile when she saw you in the hallway. She was always there if you needed a shoulder to cry on. That's why the whole world's jaw dropped when they found out the innocent blond fell for the murderous soon-to-be hybrid, Klaus Mikealson. For a very long time, she tried to ignore his advances, until his "wolf form" appeared to her after the sacrifice of Elena, Elena's aunt Jenna, and some random she-wolf. Aurora was out in the woods for a run when he appeared to her. She would have missed him if not for his glowing eyes shining through the early morning light. As she saw the big bad wolf, she stopped, contemplating whether to run, scream, or cry until he slowly walked towards her. He stopped in front of her and bowed his head, she then slowly crouched down and looked him in his eyes. She trusted the wolf even though she knew it was KlausJust as she reached her hand out to touch the furry creature Elijah, Klaus's brother, found them on the ground. She said her goodbyes to the noble original and walked home, not fully understanding what had happened just seconds before. From then, Klaus and Aurora talked almost every day, she knew it was wrong, but that's what made it so right. She had lived the boring cookie-cutter life for so long, that it felt good to be bad. Aurora soon became a vital part of the Mikaelson Family. She'd have spa time with Rebekah every day, she had created a book club with Elijah, and taught Kol how to bake. Klaus couldn't have been happier. Soon after, they both fell completely head over heels in love. But, then her friends found out, and they were mad for a VERY long time. All except Caroline and weirdly Elena. She understood Caroline's support, but she didn't understand Elena's until Elena went over to Aurora's house and they talked it out. "I just don't get it, you should hate me" Aurora spoke as she was pacing around her living room."Aurora, Aurora, Aurora" Elena tried to get her attention as she started rambling. Elena put her hands on Aurora's shoulders to stop her pacing and Aurora made full eye contact with Elena for the first time in weeks."Aurora, listen to me, please," Elena begged "I am not mad at you because I understand" she caressed Aurora's shoulders as her eyes started to tear up. "I fell in love with Damon, and he killed my own brother. And some of my friends" Elena let out a short chuckle, even though Aurora did not find it funny. Her tears were flowing as Elena held her.

"I understand, and I love you, Rory, you are my best friend, you always have been and you always will be" Elena pulled Aurora close as the two friends held each other as if there was no tomorrow. It was refreshing, to finally have someone other than her literal twin on her side. Even Stefan wouldn't talk to Aurora for a long time after he found out.

Soon enough everyone came around, it was around the time that Aurora was turned into a hybrid. But, as they say, all good things must come to an end.
