My child arrived just the other day

He came to the world in the usual way

But there were planes to catch, and bills to pay

He learned to walk while I was away

And he was talking 'fore I knew it, and as he grew

He'd say "I'm gonna be like you, dad"

"You know I'm gonna be like you"

The cheerleaders were chanting loudly as the teams began arriving on the field.

"All right, guys. Let's have a good, clean, entirely uneventful game." Totally boring, Aurora thought to herself. But to be fair, other than cheerleading she didn't really understand sports, at least nowadays. She thought Ric was being a grade A asshole today, he usually forces them to lose, but not being here for their girls after they had to throw a game? Dick. Move.

"Like we do every year when we beat your asses down," Some little fucker from the other school stated. Aurora was already in a bad mood, she didn't have the patience to deal with this.

"Caleb. Come on, suck it up. We have to go through this every year, okay?" Josie said looking at her friend. Aurora sighed,

"I was being recruited by D1 schools before I got here, all right? I don't lose." Caleb responded wittingly.

"Hey, you do today, okay?" Josie quickly shut it down. Although Aurora may not have agreed with Josie about losing, she was so incredibly proud of what a natural leader she was. She's grown so much from when she was a child, no longer letting people walk all over her. It reminded Rory of Caroline.

"Good luck out there" Lizzie spoke to the other team, trying her hardest not to bite their heads off.

"Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity" Some rando answered.

"I'm pretty sure I've seen that on a poster at the dentists." Lizzie retorted. Aurora let out a laugh, but it was a little too loud and some parents from the other team started giving her dirty looks. Oh, if only they knew who they were staring at.

"Your sister sucks at football. You should've absorbed her in the womb." Aurora heard that and quickly stood up, taking caution.
