Gaga's POV
I feel as though my heart skipped a beat. I got a text from my best friend, Bo saying she saw Robert while she was shopping today. I gasp and feel tears forming in my eyes. I thought he was living in Massachusetts?! Hopefully Avery doesn't notice my reaction, but she does. "What's wrong mom?" my daughter asks with concern. Great, now I have to lie. "Oh, um it's nothing lovebug, just got a text from Tara. I don't know why I don't just say it was from Bo, but I don't. I can tell she doesn't buy what I say. I then pay for our dinner and leave. The whole ride home is silent.
Avery's POV
Why would my mom lie? What could've that text said? I'm really curious but maybe it doesn't concern me. I'm shaken from my thoughts and when we get home. I get out of the car and go inside. Once we both get inside I tell my mom I'm going to bed. "Okay sweetie. I love you, goodnight." my mom says, giving me a hug. After we're done hugging I go upstairs and decide to fall asleep.
Gaga's POV
I check to make sure my baby is asleep before I call Bo. Once I see that she is, I dial Bo's number.
G - "Hey Bo"
B - "Hey"
G - "So... you saw him today?"
B - "Yeah, he hasn't changed at all really, I saw him while I was shopping."
G - "Did you talk at all?"
B - "Actually we did, he asked how you were and if you two could talk soon and he also said he lived in upstate New York."
G - "What?! How can he just come back acting like nothing happened! He left me alone 15 years ago. I'm not talking to him now, Bo."
B - "Look, I know you're upset with him, so am I but I think you should talk to him. Don't you think Avery should at least get to know her father? I texted you his number so just think about it."
Then Bo hung up on me. I don't know if I should trust him, he hurt me so much I don't want him doing the same to Avery. I look at the number Bo had texted me, maybe I'll call him in the morning.
