Sorry I haven't updated this story in forever! I've been so busy with school and I had writer's block for a while. Anyways I'm going to try to update weekly now, or maybe even twice a week. If you have any suggestions or chapter ideas, you can leave a comment or message me.
Avery's POV
I wake up and hear my mom talking on the phone, it kind of sounds like she's arguing with somebody by the tone of her voice. I roll over and grab my phone off of my desk, it's almost noon. I can't believe I slept in this late, my mom lets me sleep for however long I want, but I rarely ever sleep until noon unless we get home early in the morning. I don't like sleeping in so late because I feel like I'm wasting my day away by sleeping and missing opportunities to do something, I don't know.
I grab my phone and decide to get out of bed. I start walking down the hall to my moms room and see her sitting on the bed with her phone in her hands, she looks really upset. She hasn't noticed I'm standing here yet so I hesitate to say something. After what seems like forever, I finally say something.
"Mommy..?" I say, cautiously. My mother turns around fast and her eyes are all red and irritated.
"Uh morning baby." she says startled.
"Um are you okay? You look like you've been crying." I say and my mom gets up and walks over to me.
"I'm fine love, my eyes just have been a little irritated this morning. I'm alright." she says with a small, yet fake smile.
"Alright.." I say, not quite sure what to say next.
My mom then grabs my hand and walks us out of her room, down the stairs and then we're in the kitchen. She lets go of my hand and turns to look at me. "How about the two of us have a girls day today?" she says enthusiastically.
"Uh sure, what do you want to do?"
"Whatever you want to princess."
"Well we could go get something for breakfast first." I say chuckling.
"Alright, that sounds like a good idea. Why don't you go get ready and I'll be here ready whenever you are. Take your time."
"Okayy."
Gaga's POV
As soon as I heard Avery's door close, I took my phone out to call Taylor and tell him what's going on. He's been filming in Chicago and he's pretty busy so I'm praying he'll answer because I really need to talk to somebody about this. After a few rings, he picks up.
T- Hey babe
G - Hi honey..
T - You alright? You sound off..
S - I'm actually not okay.. Ave's father is trying to get full custody of her...
Avery's POV
After my mom tells me to get ready, I head upstairs to my room. Once I get in there I close the door and find something to wear. I pick my Crybaby crewneck, skinny jeans, and Vans. After I get dressed I do my makeup. I decide to wear less than usual so I just put some foundation and mascara on, and then I brush my hair and decide to do nothing special and wear it down. Once I'm ready I open my door and go back down the stairs. Before I reach the bottom, my stomach drops when I hear my mom say "Ave's father is trying to get full custody of her."
