My wings casted a shadow through the moonlight. The waves crashed on the rocks beneath the cliff. The moon was blood red. Fore, it gave the water it's own unique orangish redish tent. My silk blue dress waved in the wind. I looked at the edge of the cliff, down at the rocks. Then, crystal blue eyes came up out of the water. They looked at me. I knew I was in danger. Automatic my wings got into a ready-to-fly position. What ever lurked in the water, jumped out at me.

" SOPHIA! WAKE UP NOW!" Papers slammed onto my desk.  I yelped as I threw my head up. I looked at my manager. She stared back at me with an angry look. I pushed up my glasses. She said " Next time you ever fall asleep in the office. YOU'RE FIRED!" She walked away from my desk. The rest of the office got back to work. " Well that was humiliating." I thought to myself. I dipped my pen into the ink and began the paper work.

After an hour, I finished the stack of papers. It was after hours at the office now. Most of the lights were on, but some were off. I put my pen in the little ink jar. I went to push my office chair back to stand up. Though, I froze for a second. I looked out the window that was right beside my desk. The fire escape ruined the view of the city. However. The sun peaking over the buildings at dusk, was beautiful. I grabbed the papers and walked to my manager's office. I set them on her desk. Then I walked back to my desk grabbed my things, and headed to the elevator.

I walked out of the elevator. I realized that I was on the second floor and not the lobby. The elevator doors have already closed. So I pushed the button and waited from the to open. "SOPIE!" a voice from down the hallway shout. I looked in the direction of the voice. It was my neighbor and my friend, Marcus. "Oh hey." I said "What are you doing here?" He replied. "I got off on the wrong floor." The elevator doors opened. "Oh same" I said as I walked into the elevator. He followed me in. He pushed the button for the lobby. " Going home?" He asked. "Yeah, its been a rough day." I replied. He looked at me with smirk. "On a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being the worst. How bad was your day?" I look at him with a "are you serious" look. I said "Maybe an 8?" The doors opened and we both walked out into the lobby. " Wow, that bad?" He opened doors for me. Then he rushed to my side as we both walked to the subway. "My manager is a jerk and I hate this job. What did you expect? For me to have a great day?" He put his hand on my shoulder. "Maybe. Also, if your day was that bad. You could come over and have some dinner with me." He took his hand off my shoulder, then grabbed my suitcase and started to carry it for me. " Excuse me?! Did he just ask me on a date?! Wow, didn't see that coming. He is my friend. Not my crush. Can I just avoid this question? WAIT! I got it." I looked at him and smiled warmly, but then did a saddened look. "What's wrong?" he said. I said as I smiled sadly. "I already made some other plans. I'm sorry, but, maybe some other time?" He seemed a bit happy that he wasn't being totally rejected. I think I may have accidentally lead him on. He said "It's fine. How about Friday?" Well I think I have definitely lead him on. " I don't know. I'll have to check my planner."

We have already made our entrance into the underground subway. We stood on the platform waiting for our subway. The conversation continued. He said "Okay. Well you already have my number. So give me a text when you are free." I smiled happily. "NO NO NO! I'M LEADING HIM ON BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO REJECT HIM WITH OUT HURTING HIM!" He put his arm around my shoulder. "Oh no.- He is totally getting the idea I like him back. I should have just rejected the date in general." He escorted me into the subway. I just followed keeping my mouth shut. He started a conversation with me ( mostly flirting). I kept the conversation going. I accidentally flirt back a lot more than he was with me. All of a sudden. He started to lean in to kiss me. "WOAH HE'S MOVING WAY TO FAST!" I thought.

The subway came to a stop and saving me from the kiss that I didn't want to be dragged into. I took my suitcase. "Thanks for carrying this for me, but I can take it now." I'm just going to ignore and forget the fact he just tried to kiss me. Hopefully he gets the message that he is going to fast and making me uncomfortable."It was nothing." He said as he put his arm around my shoulder again. Then he escorted me to my apartment. "This idiot didn't get the message. Geez, men are so blind." On the way to the apartment, he started an other conversation and was flirting a lot more the first time. However, me being the stupid idiot I am. I again, flirted back and kept the conversation going. He was too blind to notice how tense my body was from being uncomfortable and nervous. He dropped me off at my apartment door. We both had a very long good bye before I opened my apartment door.

My apartment always smelled like a tropical rain. It came from the scented candles I normally had lit in my apartment. My cat came up to me and started giving me cat hugs. " AwWw, Chestnut. " I said to him. I reached down a pet him. I stood back up and put my jacket on the coat rack. I decided to skip dinner. I was to tired to do anything. I unpacked my things and placed everything neatly on my desk. I slowly walked over to my couch. I plopped down. My Apartment was small. The kitchen and the living room were connected. There was only one hallway that lead to a bathroom, a bedroom, and a small closet at the end of it. My apartment was messy but neat. Some parts of it had scattered pens, papers, and cups. Other places were neat and tidy. Most of the apartments had balcony's, while mine, just had a huge window that was the size of my living room and kitchen. I loved this window. I was on the 7th story. People on the street probably couldn't see me. However, some people from other buildings could see me. If i was ever worried about my privacy being compromised. I could just close the huge curtains that stretch to the middle of the window. I stoped observing my apartment and started to look for the Tv remote. I found it in a stack of papers. I turned on the tv and found a channel I liked. I got very comfy on the couch, and eventually fell asleep.
