The Time Travelers

Stop this from ever happening..

"Oh god the entire city is about to be destroyed! What do we do?!" We hear people say in a panic I look at Sholko and she looks back,i can see it in her eyes she knows what we have to do. We start running through the city towards the time machine buildings collapsing, people screaming, kids crying, people fighting we finally find the time machine and we start running towards it. I use my indicator to open the doors I run inside and reach out my hand to help Sholko in but before the door shut a gunshot went off. Sholko's body falls limp into my arms and I look down at her. "No no no, Please no." I feel my shaky hands feel her pulse luckily she still has one. I look up and see Erza with a gun in her hand smirking at Sholko's limp body."You thought you could escape this?! You're the cause of it!" She screamed "If you would have joined me we could of had ever-" before she could finish her sentence I grabbed my gun from my jacket and shot her. I see her body fall to the ground, I look down back at Sholko "Come on please open your eyes.I grab a piece of cloth I had in my pocket and apply it to the wound putting pressure on it trying to stop the bleeding,"please please open your eyes!" I yell, hoping it would work. I look down and her and see her eyes flutter open a little,She looks at me and smiles, I hear her say softly. "I guess this is where our chapter ends." Tears falling down both of our faces"no no no no, Ill get you help you can live through this!" I yell, I look down at her jacket seeing the blood slowly start to cover her body,I felt her hand touch mine, it was so comforting. I look away not being able to look at her knowing I failed to protect her the person I loved, married, the person that I vowed to protect no matter what.I was snapped out of my thoughts when I hear her say "Erin.. you need to stop this from ever happening. You have to use the machine and go back from when we first met  and make sure stop Erza."I hear her struggle to say those words as I hear her breathing start to become slower and quieter, I see her look up at me and smile. "Ill see you soon my love." She said while her eyes slowly closed and her breathing became slower and quieter I feel her hand fall from mine.I close my eyes trying not to accept the fact that she is gone, I just sat there holding her hoping she would say something. I look down at her now peaceful resting face and her limp body I look down at her hand and look at our wedding ring. Looking at it made me realize she was really gone, I rememberd what she said "Erin you have to go back and stop this from ever happening."I look at the city in front of me now in ashes. "She's right." I say to myself. I slowly lay her body onto the rough rocky ground watching as she lays there. I bend down and kiss her head one last time. "Goodbye love." I say while running towards the machine wiping my tears off my face.I open the doors and close them behind me I look out the window one last time at her body and whisper "Im sorry.." I press the date button and set it to 2022 "Its time to go back to history" I say while pressing confirm. I feel the machine start floating and then go into hyper space.
