Chapter Five

I spent the whole day just about, exploring the entire castle and grounds with Steven , he answered any questions I had and was vary helpful in getting to know the place. It's absolutely beautiful here, there an entire garden with flowers everywhere a fountain in the middle and off to the side there was this tree with a little swing. It was my favorite part of everything here, if I came here on different circumstances, I truly believe I would be happy here.

Steven took me back to my room around six in the afternoon. He informed me there will be a dinner at eight to celebrate the King's  birthday. He told me I need to look nice and winked at me and chuckled as he walked out the door. I wondered over to the doors that led to balcony, you could see the sun set in the view descending the far ocean stretched across the open. It was absolutely breath taken. This whole entire place is like fairytale, It was so lost in my thoughts I didn't hear anyone come in. I felt a tap on my shoulder. I jumped around out of breath because it scared me. "I'm so sorry miss I didn't mean to startle you!" Izzy took a few steps back holding her hands up. No your fine i just didn't hear you i said with laugh. She smiled and turned away heading towards the closet she came back holding a beautiful but vary simple black dress and a pair of flats to match. I smiled and walked towards the vanity. Izzy could you or anyone really, help with my hair i wanna look nice for tonight. She smiled and came towards me. "I'd be honored to ma'am." I smiled and turned facing the mirror, so izzy can i ask you a question? "Sure miss!" What species are y'all? She smiled, "ma'am i am human." I turned real fast, wait your human how could that be possible. She smiled from ear to ear, "well i wont be for to much longer i hope." She said with a smile. Wait I'm confused what do you mean? She pulled the foot stool towards me and sat facing me. "If I'm going to tell you then i have to start from the beginning."

"It all started over a thousand years ago when the vampires decided to come up from the ground. They were still secretive about who they truly were, and well they could fit in completely. They formed this kingdom so there would be order and they set in rules for everyone to fallow. No vampier is aloud to feed on a human unless they are bought from auctions. Witch is where i came from as well, I've been serving the king for almost seven years now. And there is a law to witch a human wants to become a vampier. They must pledge themselves to the king and obey all the rules just like the other vampires. They also have to take classes to learn the history and what it truly means to become one. Once they complete the class they have thirty days to consider this life changing decision." Wait so how many days do you have to decide? She smiled, 'I have four days left ma'am." "Should I continue?' I smiled absolutely yes please. "King Nicholas was coronated five years before i came here. He's truly the best king that's ever ruled over the kingdom. Tomorrow is the anniversary of his rule he's been ruling over our kingdom now for thirteen  years come tomorrow." Wow that's a long time i whispered, so how old is he? "Well in human years he is presented to be twenty-eight but he's lived for over two century's." So your telling me he's  228 years old! 'Yes ma'am as of today." she smiled, "now lets get your hair done we've already waisted to much time." What about the story, i asked really interested in it now. "We will continue another time we don't want to keep the king waiting!" she smiled.

It took izzy about thirty minutes to finish my hair, she even did my makeup just the way i like it. I stepped into the dress and she zipped me up, then there was a knock on the door. "Enter!" Izzy said and the door came open. Cody walked in, he was dressed so nicely. "I'm here to escort you to the dinning hall." He stopped when i turned away from the mirror. " Well Miss. Myers you seem to surprise me yet again." He came around me as if he was circling me to make sure everything looked perfect. "Everything alright Mr. Bishop?" Izzy chuckled as cody straighten himself. "Why yes izzy, you've done an amazing job making her look presentable. Now Shall we go?" I wrapped my arm around the one cody held out, yes sir I'm ready as ill ever be. He shook his head disapprovingly, "you need to be more proper with your choice of words Miss. Myers." I nodded and tilted my head down, he lifted my chin, "lady's do not look down for any reason. Do you understand?" Yes sir, he smiled and we started walking out the door down the hallway. It took about ten minutes to finally approach the dinning hall. There were two men on each side of the doors, as we came closer they bowed for cody and began opening the doors. As we entered my eyes searched the room for Nick. I was vary curious about him, the first time we met there was this sensation I've never felt before. Then the tingling when his skin touched mine, I cant quite understand this feeling. My body earned to be next to him once again.

I was so lost in thought , I didn't notice a few lady's and gentlemen where around cody and I. I tried to join in but the conversation was ending and people were finding their seats. Cody escorted me to the front of the table, there he sat me on the left side of the head table, while he seated himself across form me on the right. I sat in silence for a few moments looking around the room. My eyes landed on cody's who were staring right into mine. I began to ask him what was wrong and why was he staring, but the trumpets sounded and everyone stood from their seats. I followed suit and the doors opened at one time revealing his Majesty King Nicholas.

Nick walked towards the head of the table smiling at everyone he passed. When his eyes landed on me, his smile faded. I ducked my head quickly to show respect, he then announced for everyone to be seated. We all seated and people began their conversations once again. The meals were served., and everyone even Cody and Nick were in full blown conversations. I sat quietly and ate my food as they brought it out, it wasn't until I heard my name that I looked up from my plate. "Rosetta how did you enjoy your tore of the castle and grounds today?" King Nicholas asked while wiping the side of his mouth. I truly enjoyed every minute of it your highness, Steven did a wonderful job. I smiled a little and continued to eat. "Well that makes me truly happy to hear, cody remind me to give Steven a raise later on please will you?" "Yes your majesty" cody smiled and looked at me. Just as Nicholas was about to continue, the door opened once again. In walked a vary tall guy with tan skin, brown eyes, and black hair. He looked so familiar to me, I couldn't place where I knew him from.

"Your Majesty happy birthday big bro". King Nicholas stood from his chair and went towards him taking him in with a big hug. "Lord Henry, where on earth have you've been I can not believe you are here." Lord Henry began to laugh. "Come sit and eat dinner with your big brother!" Nicholas put a arm around henry and led him to the table. Cody rose from his chair, "henry its so nice to see you once again." Cody shook his hand, "I'm done eating why don't you take my place." Henry smiled as the servants started to clear the old plates and put down brand new one's. Cody excused himself, Nicholas and Henry began to sit. Henry waved at the servant "can you bring me an extra chair?" The servant hurried and placed a chair on the right side of henry soon as henry sat down that's when I seen her. Her hands were cuffed, a collar around her neck, and bruise's all over her. My voice hitched in my throat. My stomach sank from the site in front of me. There sat across from me a few inches away and I couldn't do anything to help her. Ava!
