AN: This has been an ongoing fic since Skyward Sword came out on the Switch in July and it's been a journey. Please enjoy the final chapter of A Red thread of Fate. It's very long but very fluffy and cute. Also sometimes Link, Robert and Zelda stay at the academy, sometimes they live at Robert's house.

I chuckled as Ghirahim dizzily collapsed off Ace's back as we all landed back in Skyloft. Zelda and Groose landed beside us with their loftwings also laughing as Ghirahim got to his feet. "I don't fly well, that's why I teleport." I kissed his cheek and told Zelda we better go see Robert before we do anything else. That way we can all settle back into the Knight Academy and Ghirahim could too....after being introduced to Robert.

Groose said he was going to see his pals and brag about his adventure. Ghirahim, Zelda and I made our way towards the academy with intent of going straight to Robert's office. As Zelda and I reached the top of the stairs, we waited on Ghirahim catching up. "Let me do the talking ok? I'll explain everything." I told him as we walked through the doors.

Robert turned I bet only expecting to see me like last time. He gasped and his eyes started to tear. "Zelda? Link? Both of you? Am I seeing this." "Hello Father." Zelda smiled running into his arms as he hugged her tight. "Link! Son, come here!" I ran into his arms too as hugged the both of us tightly. I smiled as we all let go with tears in our eyes. I looked over at Ghirahim who was standing awkwardly the door. "And who is this chap?" Robert asked smiling holding me and Zelda at either side of him. "Um, father this is.... Uh Link, do you wanna you know?" I nodded. "Dad...." He gasped.

"Did you just call me Dad? Oh I've waited 17 years to hear that! I love you so much son!" He hugged me tight again and I hugged back. "Dad, There's something I need to tell you. I'm gay, and I've fallen in love with someone. That's him." He smiled at me. "Oh son, that's fantastic. I'm so happy for you and I hope that he'll treat you good, otherwise I'll have to sort him out." He winked, I smiled. "Ghirahim." I held out my hand and walked forward taking it.

"Hello, my name is Ghirahim. I'm going to be honest with you but have to promise to not overreact. I'm the one that caused all this, I'm the one who kidnapped the spirit maiden to use her to revive my master and tried to kill Link on occasions but I want you to know you're sweet son is the kindest and bravest person I have ever met. I'm a demon so we don't meet nice people very often or even people for matter. We are born and raised to become servants to a higher authority. In my case, the Demon King Demise was my master and he told and taught me many things that's up until I met Link, I didn't know were hurtful to me and abusive. Link saved me, he opened my eyes and I will be eternally grateful to him for that. I love him too, I'm getting use to that after a entire existence of being led to believe that love does not exist, it's certainly strange to discover it does exist so quickly and to have someone wonderful like Link to even take an interest in me never mind love me."

I smiled at Ghirahim, he's come a long way from when I first met him certainly. From a loyal, decisive demon lord to the soft, loving, happy, cute man I knew was underneath after our encounter at the Fire Sanctuary. "Well, that's quite the story and the existence, my boy. I have to say I'm not particularly happy about you kidnapping and using my daughter to revive an evil Demon King that wanted to take over the world, also the fact that you tried to kill my son many occasions when all he was trying to do was save his sister. But I must admit, it's brave to stand up to a master like yours, to tell him he's in the wrong and that you want to fight for the better side. That is brave. I think you and Link will make a fantastic and thriving couple."

Dad turned to me and smiled. "Why don't you get Ghirahim settle in your room, and the three of you take a slow day tomorrow. You deserve it, now off you go to bed, goodnight." Zelda and I said goodnight to Dad and Zelda headed to her room, hugging me and whispering a thank you in my ear before she entered. I led Ghirahim back downstairs and to my room, it was just as I last seen it. I realised the bed might be a tight squeeze but I'm sure I'll manage. "Alright there, Ghirahim?" He smiled and walked closer to me. "But of course, Skychild. So this your room is it?" He raised his eyebrows suggestively. Wow, hadn't been told love exists but he was sure taught about sex and all that.
