The misty forest (MC x Jake)

"I can leave if you want me to."

MC POV:

I was just five minutes away from Duskwood. I am excited to see my friends, but scared at the same time. I turned the music off to just enjoy the silence. Then I saw a sighn next to the road "Welcome to Duskwood"

I parked the car next to the motel. I took my small bag with the important stuff and exited the car. I grabed my suitcase from the back and started walking to the motel. When I entered the building I saw a blonde at the reception desk. It was Lilly.

The girl looked at me confused but then she started to spark with joy. Then she ran up to me and took me into a tight hug.

"You are here!"

"I was so excited to
see you, but I am still scared."

"Something really bad
could happen!" 

I thought about if I should tell her that Jake is going to be here. But then I decided not to.

"You there?"

"Oh ... yeah I am
just really tired."

"I am so sorry, here
are the keys if you need
something just call me."

"Your room is on the
second floor down the hallway, number 19."

"Thank you again."

"No problem."

"Now bye and have a
good night."

"Thank's you too."

I grabed my things again and  took the lift to the second floor. After a little bit of searching number 19 I took the keys out of my pocket and unlocked the door.

I stood in the middle of the room and just looked around. There was a neatly styled king sized bed with a night stand next to it. On the small table there was a lamp. There was a really cozy vibe in the room. I took my clothes out of the suitcase and put it in the closet that was in one of the corners of this room. I finished unpacking my things and went into the bathroom to take a shower.

I stepped into the shower and turned on the hot water. When the water touched my skin I let out a quiet hiss, but I still let it run over my body.

When I finished showering I stepped out, wrapped a towel around my body and went into my room. I found a comfy outfit in the closet and took it out. I put on the gray sweatpants, a white top and a dark gray oversized hoodie. I went into the kitchen, found some groceries and made my snack, because it was already too late for dinner. I ate it and walked back into my room. I basically just threw myself on the bed. My eyelids started to feel heavy, but then a knock on the door fully woke me up again.

I slowly and quietly walked to the door. 'Who would knock on the door this late?' 'Does the kidnapper know I am here?' I looked through the peep hole and saw a man standing there. I couldn't recognize this guy, because his face was covered with a mask and his hoodie also covered a little bit. Then I heard a buzz from behind me. It was my phone, I took it and saw a message from Jake.

Jake

"It's me, please open the door."

'It was Jake?' 'He said that he is coming to Duskwood but why is he here now?'
I took a step towards the door. I took the door handle and slowly opened it.

Jake POV:

I stood in front of MC apartment door and thought about if I should really knock. I finally managed to track MC's phone. I was so releaved, but I still had to go see her. I am always worried that something might happen to her. I finally knocked on the door and waited a bit. After a while the door still didn't open, so I texted MC that it's me.

Then the door opened and a short girl stood there. She had H/L H/C hair and E/C eyes. Then I saw her lips. I don't know why but I got butterflies in my stomach. She was just perfect, everything about her was. My breathing became uneaven and I started to blush.

MC POV:

Then I saw a man that was taller than me. He had some simple black ripped jeans and a black hoodie. There were some strands of dark brown to black hair that were visible. I just stared him up and down a few times.

"Hey MC."

"Could I .. come in?"

"Oh sorry, yes"

I went to the side an let him in. He slowly aproached while looking around. After he was standing in the middle of the room I slowly closed the door behind him.

"What are you
doing here Jake?"

"I said that I am
going to Duskwood."

"No, not that.
Why are you here?"

"I wanted to check on
you, if you are fine,
if you need help with something..."

"I can leave if yo-"

"No it's fine I just
wanted to know.."

I cut him of in the middle of his sentence and told him that it was fine. After that we just stared at each other for a while. I went over to the couch that was in the room and sat down. I patted the couch next to me signaling Jake to sit down. He walked over and dropped on the sofa. I stood up and looked at him.

"Something to drink, eat?"

"No thank's I am fine."

I walked slowly to the couch again and sat down next to Jake. I turned around to see him. He chaught me staring and I quickly turned away. I could feel my cheeks starting to get hot, but I had the feeling that he was blushing too.

"When was the last
time you have slept?"

"I wanted to go to sleep
but before I could
you woke me up..."

I giggled at my response and he started to laugh. When he calmed down he said.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to, but you should go to sleep. It was a long day."

"Now?"

"Now."

"Bu-"

"Please go and get
some rest if it make
you feel more safe I could
stay here if you want."

"Really? Thank's..."

I stood up again and went into the bathroom to brush my teeth and get ready for bed. After I was finished I left the bathroom and walked up to Jake.

"Do you need anything
before I go?

"I don't think so, no"

I nodded and went to my bed and jumped in. I felt the soft matrace under me and covered myself with a comfy blanket. After my head hit the pillow, my eyes started to feel heavy again and before I know it, I fell asleep.
