Natsu POV.
Lucy. She's the best. She feeds me, she takes care of me. She clothes me. Really. I mean , she calls out Virgo and she gives us matching clothes.
"Hero, you think you can make it to the guild by yourself today?" I needs to tell Lucy how I feel. I can't stand it anymore.
"Course Pappa. What made you think I couldn't?"
"Nothing, I just wanted to make sure." I turn to Lucy, and she's giving me the weirdest look. You're a weirdo Luce. That's why I love you. I look back at Hero, who is giving me one of the most heartwarming smiles in the world. With that I see him sprint off toward the guild. Luce. I don't know why I didn't realise it earlier. Hero is definitely, without a doubt, your son. From the eyes to the smile.
"Natsu, why'd you send him off like that?"
"Cause I need to tell'ya something."
"What is it Natsu. Are you okay? Your face going red!" Lucy rushed to put her hand on my forehead. I take her hand from my head and walk to the sakura tree in the park. I look her in those big brown eyes. Oh dear god, those eyes.
"No Lucy. I'm not okay. The first thing I think about in the morning. The last thing I think about before going to bed. My dreams. What do they all have in common? It's you Luce. We've been best friends and partners for the longest time now. That's great and all. But it's not really exceptable to want to hold your partner. To want to kiss your best friend til they pass out of oxygen loss. It'd not be exceptable for me to love you, and not do a single thing to try to make you mine. You're my world Lucy. I don't know how I got on before I met you. You brighten up my day. If the sun were to exploded right now. You could light up the whole world with only that smile and those eyes. When I look at you Luce. My whole body starts to tremble. You give me a purpose. If I hadn't met you by now, I would probably be dead up in some mountain looking for Igneel. I think I love you. No I know I-i-i. I love you Lucy Heartfilia. That's all I've been trying to say. But then I started rambling. Ughh." By the end of all this, I'm staring at the ground. On the verge of tears. I haven't cried in so long. Not since Lucy scared us with the whole ' I'm going back home' thing. I look up to Lucy, tears still in my eyes. "Say somethin please? Please!"
