Natsu POV.
That smell. All I can think about is Hero's scent. I've smelt it before, but I haven't smelt it directly.Uggghhhh! Maybe two people I've met before had a kid. No, then I would have smelt his scent on them. I know Gajeel, Wendy, and Laxus wouldn't be able to pin point the smell either. Damn it, damn it all! What if I smelt everyone in the guild? No, that would take a long time, and there are some people I'd rather not smell. Fuuuuuuuuuuck me, man! What if I just ask him again. I hope this works, cause I'm about to start pulling my hair out. As I got up master's office opened. Gramps walked up to the railing on the second floor waiting to get our attention.
"Listen up brats! I have some important news. Hero is from the future. I know what your thinking. There is no magic that allows you to travel forward or backward in time. Well, at least not directly. Hero has no idea how or why he's here. I have an idea how to get him back. He says the last thing he remembers is messing around with Lucy's spirit keys, then vanishing. So, it has to be a connection to the spirit world," Master finishes. That's a lot to put on someone all at once.
"Master, he needs somewhere to stay while we try to get him back," Wendy says sounding worried.
"I was just getting to that. I think it would be best to stay with his parents, but we don't want to mess anything up in the future so, I say he stays with his father." Master states. Suddenly, Hero starts to walk down the stairs to, well I wanna say to who his dad is. This will actually help me and my nerves. I can finally figure out who he smells like. As I look back up toward Hero, he's standing right in front of me. This actually makes sense. I mean he looks like me, and he smells like someone I always smell. I feel really stupid right now.
"H-hi Pappa," Hero stutters.
"What are you stuttering for kid. If you are my son, you've got the Dragneel blood in you. You do have the Dragneel blood in you don't'cha?" I ask.
"Yes"
"Then stand up and be a MAN!"
"BE A MAN!" I hear Elfman scream on the other side of the guild. I can't help but chuckle a bit.
"No, seriously kid. You don't need to stutter. I ain't gonna hurt'cha. And if you can knock me out with one punch, I should be the one scared of you!" I say trying to make him feel more comfortable. Hero then giggles. I never say or think this, but that was really cute. I look up at the guild with them staring at me. I guess they didn't expect any of that. Its getting kinda late. I'd say its about ten at night, I should get Hero home.
"Its getting kinda late Hero, let's get you home and to bed."
" But, I-I'm not t-t-tired."
"You can't pull that one on me kid. Now come on, hop on my back I'll carry you." Hero then climbs on my back and wraps his arms aroung my neck.
"Natsu, I don't think it's a good idea for you to take care of him. You can barely take care of yourself," Gray says.
"I may be ignorant Gray, but you have no idea as to whether or not I can take care of myself. And I obviously know enough to have been able to support a family in the future. So tell me one more time whether I can take care of Hero or not! Luce, are you gonna come with me or not." Lucy then jumps up from a booth and walks side by side with me.
