Part 3

(We're gonna skip a few months I ran out of ideas- :'D)

Sota's POV

I've decided to do it soon! Even though it's scary I will do it!

Wait why am I talking to myself?

"Sota, you coming?" Emiko yells from outside my door

"Yeah, one second!" I yell back as I rush to fill my backpack with papers and books.

The class field trip to the ruins was soon and we get to explore it ourselves! I mean there *are* traps and maybe some deadly things in it but the teacher said we could just use our "powers". I don't have any so no one wanted to go with me. No one but Emiko!

"You excited for today? Maybe we'll find something about your demon type in the ruins!" Emiko said excitedly

"You think so? I don't think-" I said before the teacher cut us all off

"Alright, class get your stuff ready! Make sure you take lots of notes now everyone on the bus!"

Time skip to when they get there cause I'm in the middle of class while doing this-

We walked into the ruins and split up from there. It was like a maze with all sorts of broken faded writing on the walls. Emiko kept complaining that she couldn't read any of it, but for some reason, I could.

"Hey, Emiko? What would you say if I could read the writing?"

"Well, that would be cool and mean that this place is for you! C'mon, why don't you believe this! You can read the writing, you found a trap that I couldn't even see, and you can navigate around this place as if you've been here!" Emiko tried to convince me more but I just think that it's by chance. Maybe luck?

"Oh! Oh! What does that say, Sota?" Emiko asked as she pointed to some big writing on the wall. It was very easy to read so I just read it aloud.

"Kalton"

Suddenly the wall turned into a door and flew open as if it wanted us to go inside. We stepped in -well Emiko ran in but yeah I walked- and once we got in my tail started glowing red. My horns did too!

Emiko stared in amazement as they glowed. More writing appeared and I felt the need to read it so I did

"All that is hidden lies within one being. Wake up for you are hidden. Once you wake you will find the truth behind who you are. Wake up, Sota"

I stood in shock. It -I- just said my own name from an ancient script. I heard the teacher calling us so I quickly grabbed the script along with a book next to it that read "Sota" and we both ran out

"Teacher you are not gonna believe this! Sota-" 

I put my hand over her mouth "I just found something cool and shes amazed by it"

"Oh alright then well, what did you find?"

Crap

"It looked like a wall but it was a door. The door leads to nothing though"

"Maybe something used to be there then."

"Maybe"

"Sota, why didn't you tell her what we found?"

"Maybe it's because she doesn't need to know"

"Why not?! We just found- Hey what's that?" She grabs my notebook from the ruins

"Woah you took it! Here start reading it!"

"Alright fine"

I started reading it and within it was more information about what I am. I am something called the Succubus. They went "extinct" because people just used them as some sort of pet or slave. The truth is they went into hiding but some people found them and now they're gone... All but one. Turns out people are looking for me. That's what the notebook said anyways. I found out why I didn't have my powers. It's cause I didn't get to the ruins so now Emiko is trying to teach me how to "Use" them. I like that she is helping but the notebook actually gives me information on how to use my powers. It was an exhausting day today so I went home and slept.

Next day

Emiko's POV

I woke up to my butler... Again...

"Your parents want you dressed nicely and downstairs, please. The maid will help you if you want."

"Thanks, Dalke. I should be fine"

"Alright then"

I threw on a nice dress and brushed my hair. Then I headed downstairs to my parents who were waiting for me.

"It has come to the time where you must find a prince or a princess. You can decide as long as they are not a commoner" My dad said

"Well I do have one person in mind but- Wait why not a commoner?"

"Because they are lowly peasants who don't deserve royalty" My mother replied

"What if she is a Succubus?"

"..."

"..."

"Emiko... How did you find one?"

"Were friends in school! She is the friend I've talked about."

"Oh... Interesting..."

"Could I date her?"

"Yes. She is considered royalty, after all, she is the last of her kind."

"Okay! Thank you!- Wait w-what? She is the last one?"

"Yes, all the others are gone... People used them as slaves and pets to the point of death... Do you want to bring her in tomorrow?"

"Sure!"
